Anyone else notice a strange trend of people saying things like " I can't see this getting a season 4" or even denying the season 4 production as rumours as if it can somehow come true if they say it enough times.

Does this happen every season ?

Unfortunately, this is not strange and has already happened even before and during the first season, so it is nothing new. In the following seasons, only the number changed. It is the same as those claiming that Trump won the election. It is simply the price we pay for the business model of facebook, twitter, youtube and so on. The spreading of lies with no punishment has consequences. That is why traditional media are subject to many regulations.

Yes. Hope springs eternal when it comes to Kurtzman hatred. See also Kathleen Kennedy being fired and Star Wars sequel trilogy will be retconned.

It's interesting that they ended the season pretty solidly. Seasons 1 or 2 had the big classic Star Trek cliffhangers, but we have no idea where Season 4 will pick up. The writers gave themselves some breathing room this time.

But this seems to be the end of the Disco uniform. Sure, it'll probably make cameos on Strange New Worlds and Section 31, but it's time in the sun has set.

Yes i have. Apparently all the actors are lying about filming season 4 because CBS told them to. Apparently channels like midnight's edge and heels vs babyface are perpetuating these rumours and people are quoting them for truth. Just goes to show how lacking in common sense and critical thinking skills people are.

More a matter of a huge amount of wishful thinking for these shows to no longer exist. They treat Discovery as though it is trying to replace prior Star Trek and so wish it nothing but destruction to preserve the precious franchise.
