It's been a very busy year.

I finally finished The Long Mirage, which I think I started back in 2019 when the German version came out. That very much slowed down my post-Nemesis reading.

In current Trek, I read The Last, Best Hope and The Way to the Stars (which I am currently re-reading), both amazing novels by Una McCormack, and Desperate Measures by Dayton Ward, which did a very good job with the premise.

I also read two Doctor Who novels, The Eight Doctors, which felt somewhat strange and ever so slightly out of character, and Prisoner of the Daleks, which worked much better.

I started the year doing a lot of reading, but it tailed off a bit in the last few months, so overall i read less than any recent year.
I've always enjoyed Bernard Cornwells books, so i started reading some other historical fiction authors ( Ben Kane and Conn Iggulden). I made a start on The Expanse (late to the party on that one). A good end, but sad to read the final book of The Last Kingdom series, one of my favourites.
I only read one Trek book this year, the Picard novel Last Best Hope, which I enjoyed more than the actual series.

I have read 96 books so far this year; I may squeeze in a 97th if I can get through the rest of Nicholas Nickleby in the next week. Low year for me (my annual average is in the 150s).

For Star Trek this year, I read the entire Vanguard and Seekers franchise (a reread), No Time Like the Past (reread), The Higher Frontier, Agents of Influence, Die Standing, To Lose the Earth, and A Contest of Principles...oh, and the Kirk Fu Manual. There was likely a few more I skimmed but didn't actually read or reread all the way through like Desperate Measures but for the most part that was it.
