I think this will be one of the most important episodes in the season.. in season 2, we had now reached the point where most of the mysteries surrounding the Red Angel were tied up, and it was clear the story was about the AI Control and that The Red Angel were the Burnhams... as much as I love S2, I don’t think the revelations were very successful... Now with Su’Kal, we’re at the revelation point.. by this time tomorrow we will now what started the Burn... I just hope it will be satisfying, with the remainder of episodes hitting home runs...

Looks like Su'Kal will be the big baddies in this episode, from the description. I hope we FINALLY learn what caused the Burn. Iconians maybe? I am out of theories.

Not quite sure where you get that “Su’Kal” is the name of a bad guy.

We will never learn about the Burn. That’s the theme of the whole season. It’s kinda something that happened, but no one is in any major hurry to solve it.

Nah, the federation caused it (though I suppose both can be equally true). Federation in 32nd century is evil and Orions are the good guys. :techman:

Vote early and vote often. I haven't figured out the second part yet.

And yet, the actions of Emerald Chain from 'The Sanctuary' not to mention admiral Vance's position and how he acted thus far seem to indicate the Federation is doing the best it can (still holding up to its core values) and the Orions are causing ruckus and effectively putting pre-warp civilizations under their control (plus, lifelong slavery and all?).

Could the roles be reversed? Possible, but nothing we saw of the Emerald Chain and Osyraa thus far gives me a good indication of them.

As for who/what caused the Burn... could have been the Federation yes, but unintentionally so. The Khi'ev distress call mentioned a Dilithium nursery in the Verubin nebula.
We won't know for certain until tomorrow or next week.

And as for a previously thought friend now to be the enemy... that could also be the Andorians who work with the Orions.

In all honesty, we hadn't seen that much of the 32nd century to make a clear determination of the overall landscape just yet, and its entirely possible we won't until Season 4 starts.

Dead people do vote there, and the occasional dog, but the saying was AFAIK born in Chicago due to people voting multiple times.
