I have been slacking on rating episodes this season. Perhaps I should give this a 10 now because the ratings I have missed total to at least that much.

I'm curious how this episode will work in the arc of the season. Unification III did such a nice job, for me, of creating momentum toward the overall mystery, whereas I don't yet feel like Osyraa is more than a petty foe. It's nice that each episode this season has a distinct identity, but many viewers watch this show for the serial storytelling. A tricky balance, and I'm curious what they'll do with this one.

I hope there's more to the emerald chain... so far I don't care at all about them

I hope they get back to some of the more interesting stories, like Adira, Detmer, and what is happening with Georgiou.

I'm pretty sure this is the episode where Detmer gets to fly Book's ship.

Yeah I saw the preview and I've been waiting for the Detmer's "I'm about to do something that will get us both killed" scene since the season started.

Perhaps this will be a key part of Detmer's arc? Having grappled with PTSD, she's assigned to a mission that depends on her skills. And despite her misgivings, she nonetheless rises to the occasion?

I’m sticking with the theory that the distance from the mirror universe is causing it.

That would be a fantastic episode.

Honestly, there are few VOY episodes I liked but the one where B'Elanna struggles with feeling kind of detached and then goes on a mission and ends up saving the day is one of my favorites. I would love Detmer to have something like that.

which is stupid so that's probably that.

fucking shame too since section 31 would have been way more interesting in the 32nd century

I hope they do not send Georgiou back in time. That would be lame.
As for Osyraa... I hope they will have a GREAT reason to have the leader of a massive interplanetary ring go to a planet himself. Seems quite dumb to begin with

It might have to do with the Andorian Ryn who is in this episode. Ryn tried leading a rebellion against Osyraa so she may not to apprehend him personally.

Also it's already been stated that Osyraa is incredibly brazen, so her showing up at the planet to deal with things herself is probably not unusual for her.

I actually liked that episode of Voyager, with the caveat that the episode would have been so much better if we got to see her closing down before that one specific episode. But here we do see a change so I would be all for an episode to really deal with it.

Exactly so. In this instance, Detmer's struggle has already been showcased and it would be a more fitting way for her to show some healing.

Have the two people who voted 10 already seen it, or just expectation votes? lol.
