Don't know if the demise of Black Lighting is why they are talking about the show around Painkiller or whether the former is being killed off to make room for the later.
I know I would rather have more Black Lighting than a Painkiller show. I am not even all that into the idea of a Painkiller show. This news sucks really hard. I really hope it isn't because the lead is a older adult male instead of a youngster to appeal to the kids. Jason
Bit of bummer but I think by that point they'll be close to exhausting more of the source novels but it's had a good run
And Quibi is officially dead today. That's $1.75 billion flushed down the toilet, minus however much the executives got to pocket.
It's also been reported in the DuckTales thread, but Disney has announced that the third season (currently airing on Disney XD) will be the last.
Radio Disney? Yeah, don’t think I have ever heard of that one either. The fact not many people know it exists is probably the precise reason why it’s finally going away.
On Chicago it was on an AM station for a while... it was also on XM radio, but haven't renewed that in years. I appreciated their versions of songs like Honey I'm Good by Andy Grammar
I read that the studios that made the Quibi shows own their own content and get the rights back after two years. So we'll have to see what happens. Maybe Quibi will hold them hostage and try to get some money in order to release them.
I think that's more a sign of your age than anything. If you grew up watching the Disney Channel in the Aughts, Radio Disney was a huge deal, because that's where all the music from Disney Channel stars was played. Radio Disney is going away now because the kids that watch Disney Channel shows aren't using the radio to listen to music.
