NFL 2020 Season: We're gonna bite a kneecap off

Between Gase and Patricia, it's a friggin' mystery how they got jobs to begin with. espn.com is reporting Gase "won't return next year", but his firing should have been part of a half-time show.

Add in really any coach in the AAA division also known as the NFC East. I'd say Nagy needs to go as well, but Virginia considers him to be "a nice boy", so we're probably stuck with him.

It is incredibly difficult to watch them choose "The Patriot Way" when it hasn't worked anywhere else but New England.

Finally watched a game this season. It was going the Titans way, until a shanked punt, then it was all down hill from there. Missed FG, punt blocked for a TD.

After defeating Seattle last week, Buffalo Bills blow a 23-9 lead in the third AND a 30-26 lead with 34 seconds left. Hail Mary with three Bills defenders around the ball and they can't knock it down. Just when you think this team might finally be turning the corner, they once again remind us that these are the Buffalo Bills, after all.

Plus, another win by Miami? Looks like what was a sure AFC East crown is circling the drain.

Being a Dolphins fan, I think we're still a year or two away. They're playing hard, but still lack a lot of real talent.

I'd argue that Gase is taking the Jets exactly where they want to go.... to the first overall pick in 2021. :guffaw:

He is making $25 million this season, no sympathy here. He knew what the game was when he didn’t retire last season.
I wasn't aware sympathy was tied to money when it comes to an injury that is painful.

I'm aware that when my wife is working on the house she is going to injure herself. Doesn't stop me from having sympathy for the pain...usually.

There is a time to walk away from the game. Brees and Brady should have done it after last year, but both were lured by $25 million for a season. Once you’re past your expiration date, I have no sympathy for injuries that happen after that.

Alrighty then...

I disagree to an extent. Depends on what your goals are. I think a 10 win season and playoff appearance is a success this year, especially as they have Houston's first round draft pick next year, which looks like it will be in the top 10.
Super Bowl? No way. Playoff win? Unlikely - too much talent in the AFC this year.
But I agree that next year they should be in the running to win the division and make a solid effort at getting to the Super Bowl.

The Raiders are currently 6-3 and in second place in the division behind the Chiefs. We ‘re also1-0 against net KC. Problem is, we play them at home on Sunday. This is not a game I “expect” the Raiders to win this game, although I’d be ecstatic if they did, but I do expect them to be competitive.
