Zoom Session to talk "Discovery"

If we do it during the week I will have to keep it short, I guess midnight still works for me for like an hour. I would imagine that once DISCO is over we would move to a watch a random episode a week anyway.

Tonight's not going to work for me. I stayed up all night watching Election Results. I'm still watching. It happens without fail. I'm glued to the TV for this every four years. And this election has me more anxious about the results than any other in my entire life.

I got a little bit of sleep but I'm super-tired (and can't fall asleep now) and got called in to go to work early in the morning tomorrow. I have to make sure I'm well-rested. So my head's not in this for tonight.

I'll see all of you on Zoom this Saturday!

I feel you in the election, I finally tuned the TV of at about 3am but looked at the results at around 7 and couldn't go back to sleep so I am pretty whacked myself. lucky work has been busy so I haven't spent the day fighting to stay awake.

I've been watching since midnight whilst working. It's lucky I have a big screen! It's still touch and go and it's still anxious, so I'm not surprised you don't feel up to it. I look forward to tomorrow's episode and I'm looking forward to speaking about it next Saturday. Good luck.

Come join us tonight folks as we discuss episode 4 of Discovery Season 3 and Star Trek in general. Everyone is nice and friendly, even if you don't want to chat and just listen you are more then welcome.

Time:
4 PM PT / 7 PM EST / Midnight (00:00) GMT / 1 AM (01:00) AM CET / 4 AM (04:00) GST / 08:00 TST / 11 AM AST

Please note that the time change from last week for Europe as the US moves to DST. Also if you are in the Middle East/Asia/Australia note that there is a hour difference.

I'll be there, if that doesn't put people off too much! Nah, looking forward to it. Especially hearing why @Arpy gave it a 2/10. I've had my sleeves rolled-up since seeing that! To be honest, he's a pretty convincing guy so I'm sure I'll end up agreeing.

Sorry everyone can't make it tonight, hope you all have a wonderful night and an awesome week and will be back and looking forward to next weekend's! :bolian:

You were definitely missed, but you were mentioned. Away but not forgotten. We look forward to having you back next time.

Another long chat, great to have some new (to me, at least) voices and faces. We spent time talking about Star Trek Discovery’s latest episode, other Trek related things like books, and quite a bit about the election. Real fun, thanks for all the contributions.

Now I woke up and I'm still tired, so I'm going back to bed. I'll clean up my house later. When I wasn't at work, I spent Tuesday through Saturday watching CNN, even leaving it on when I went to bed. So last night was the first night I slept with nothing on in the background. So it was the first time I got real sleep.

When I watched "Forget Me Not", I was dead tired, because I was watching all that Election Coverage, I didn't get to watch it a second, non-tired time. So when I gave that episode a 10 in the episode thread, I was thinking, "Please let this be a cognizant 10! I'm too tired to be able to tell!" So I'll watch it again after I wake up again.

Even though I slept at almost 5am I was still up at 10 (very unlike me), well had no choice my cat was making a racket protesting that I get up. House cleaning duties wait me today but as usual finding it difficult to work up the enthusiasm. But wouldn't trade the Saturday night Trek chats for anything, I look forward to it most of the week.

Yeah, when I left the call at 4am, I walked to the bedroom and like a great oak felled by a chainsaw I collapsed face first and didn't rise again until my phone started moaning at me this morning. I am heavily, heavily caffeinated this morning!
