Hi @B'elanna_Torres , I know you're new here, and I'm guessing you probably haven't read over all, um... 281 pages () of this thread. So, I just wanted to let you know that this thread isn't to be used to complain about, or make digs against, other board members.

Now, I realize in this instance you are just joking around. But we have had problems with this particular issue before, so it's best just to keep it as a blanket rule. Please be mindful of this in the future. Thank you.

    Will do.
    Yes, utterly in jest.
Bry and myself have already developed a digging rapport toward one another and both of us have enjoyed it very much. So, it was just the extension of that.

But noted for future reference (no, i had no read all 250+ pages of this thread ahahah).

    Sorry, Bry!

My husband has this bizarre genetic disorder that makes it really difficult, if not impossible, for him to change a roll of toilet paper.

    :vulcan:

He came in very late last night. I got up early, used the downstairs bathroom, and saw the empty carboard tube on the holder. I look over to the canister that holds all the extra rolls of toilet paper. It's open and the lid is sitting on the back of the toilet. I look in, and there's two rolls of toilet paper in it. So....he saw he'd used the last of the toilet paper, opened the canister, saw the toilet paper and.....did nothing.

His excuse? It was late and he didn't want to turn the light on. It might have woken me. Even though I was upstairs, with the door closed, asleep in bed. Uh-huh. Nice try.

It took more effort to come up with an excuse than to actually do the deed.

alas, it is not located on the Y-chromosome. I experience the same prob in the ladies' room at my office.
Another bathroom habit that really annoys me is the people who use the sink and leave the tap dripping wet and the floor covered in wet paper towels while the waste paper basket is only half full.

Might be more of an infection with the "it's-not-mine-so-I-don't-care" virus at the office. Could also be the "No-one-is-watching-so-I-can-give-in-to-my-inner-pig" plague.

We couldn't replace the toilet paper at the office even if we wanted to. They're in those locked roll dispensers, and all the spares are locked away for cleaning staff access only. (Apparently they foresaw the COVID toilet paper shortage *years* in advance, and took action accordingly...)

Fortunately, they check the supplies fairly frequently throughout the day, so it's not usually a problem.

    Usually.

On topic: Software updates that break more than they fix.

Off topic:On the home front, shouldn't the changing of the roll fall to the person who next needs the roll? After all, the person who emptied the roll doesn't need any more...

My hubby, who used to be the most aggressive driver--to a fault, actually--has now turned into the opposite type of driver, but it's still equally annoying. He drives a Prius and is obsessed with getting the best milage. So he now not only does not speed but goes WAY below the speed limit to get the best mileage possible. So, I'm exhausted and ready to get home--our 3 + hour drive ahead of us--and the speed limit is 70 to 75 miles an hour.

He drives 60 mph the WHOLE. WAY. Adds at least an extra 30/40 minutes to our trip.

Not only did we have hours of people honking and swerving around us, but his musical selection of Finnish Death Metal really added to the relaxing atmosphere.

My dad got like that the last few years that he drove. We reach.
Luckily I didn't have to listen to Finnish Death Metal. It was more like Neil Diamond and Barry Manilow.

At my office we have a custom: the driver drives and the copilot selects the music. This has lead to business trips getting really short. Fortunately, my taste in music is so broad that up to now I only got 2 tickets for speeding. :D

frustration today: it's foggy for the 4th day in a row, and for the rest of the week the forecast predicts rain. Hey, up there! It's "Golden October"/Indian Summer! You're supposed to make sunshine.

There’s an older guy on my team at work who complains about anything his part of the code has to do it wasn’t designed for when it was written years ago. And I have front tier seats to his twice daily venting sessions with out supervisor.

If someone my age complained that much they’d get called an “Entitled millennial”, but it’s okay when Boomers do it.

I don't think age has anything to do with it. A whiner is a whiner.

It seems like one thing after another is giving out or breaking. In our bathroom both "plugs" rusted out and now can't fill the sink or tub. My washer does not want to spin the clothes so I have to hand twist the water out (not every time), Now our disc player in the TV gave out. We got a cheap DVD player the other day, It plays okay. But no remote and no way to change from one show to the other. So have to pretty much start the disc from the first show each time. I can play things on the computer, but not in the comfy chairs! There are a few other things but you get the point. It is the little things like this when there are so many that really BUG ME! Ahhh....

Can you get a universal remote that will work with the dvd player?
