The Dark Crystal Prequel Series Coming To Netflix

US federal law defines child pornography as the visual depiction of any sexually explicit conduct involving minors below the age of 18. Sexually explicit, as in actual sex acts, not just sexy poses in skimpy outfits.
Lawyers here in the U.S.A. said that if they found images and video clips like what is in the movie on your computer, you would be going to prison for child pornography.

Technically, under US law, something only qualifies as child pornography if it depicts the actual sexual exploitation of actual children...
Pretty much the entire movie.

That neither of those statements is actually true. It's just propaganda.
Both are true. Do a Google search.

Oh, bull. The original poster (which Netflix pulled after a week) is right here on Wikipedia, and if you think it's "pornography," you have no idea what the word means. It's just a shot of a few girls in midriff-baring outfits striking vaguely sexy poses.
Right, child pornography.

Both are true. Do a Google search.

Google results are full of untrue claims. The legitimacy of the source matters, not merely the quantity or loudness of the claims. It's sad that you don't understand that.

Right, child pornography.

You trivialize the charge by misusing it that way. Pornography is the depiction of people actually having sex. Please do not devalue the word or the seriousness of what it represents by frivolously abusing it to describe non-graphic images.

Google: U.S. lawyers on Cuties. I found this:

There are videos of pedophiles praising the movie. Go watch.

You do not understand American law.

If you search hard enough you can find anybody saying anything on the internet, so saying I saw somebody on the internet say it, really doesn't work as an argument.

Watch video I shared.

Woof. And no. If you're even a bit aware on how clickbait works, it's titles and images like the video's you share that are, well, clickbait. I've got better things to do with my precious time than watch nonsense video's like those. They cater to what people want to believe, not truth.

Very good point. I hope that, one day, Dark Crystal will be on that short list.
That's not as easy as you think. If standing sets get torn down, etc., then the cost of restarting the show becomes problematic. Plus talent moves on. It's not a light switch.

The show was cancelled, because Netflix is loosing money over Cuties. I believe several shows were cancelled for the same reason.
So, how much money did they "loose"? :D

Well, you certainly don't. You're making that very clear.

Sorry, is this really QAnon shit? Or did someone just draw that conclusion from something you linked to? Because the QAnon people are seriously demented,

I would share the movie poster to make a point, but here in America, that would be distribution of child pornography, and that is very illegal.

The poster that was all over the Twitterverse did not meet that definition in America, sorry. Netflix did use it briefly in the U.S. and apologized for their poor judgment, but it didn't expose them legally.

You know, having some understanding of the subject that you make broad declarations about is a helpful sort of thing. Think about it, won't you?

Netflix did see some subscription cancellations in the wake of Cuties hitting the streamer, it was reported. However, the rate of people voting with their wallets tapered off pretty quickly, and views were on par with the previous year within a week.

Deadline

That's from a reputable, professional entertainment news organization, not some Youtube freak or QAnon ranter.

Netflix has been indicted by a Texas grand jury on the grounds that the film is "lewd" and panders to a "prurient interest in sex" which is not the same as facing federal charges for child pornography. In fact that county DA has called on the Justice Department to bring such an indictment, but no dice.

How can you critisize the video if you didn't watch it?

You didn't watch the video, so how do you know?
I’ve never eaten a dead rat but I’m pretty sure it won’t taste good. You don’t have to experience something to know if it’s good or not. I’ve seen countless videos like this, it’s pointless conjecture based on assumptions and the bias of the person making it. It’s no different than a thousand posts here. If the video is important explain what it’s about instead of letting it think for you and demanding everyone debate it instead of you.

Oh this is QAnon shit?
