Not being British, I probably won't get this, with the overseas shipping charge and all, but thought other might be interested.

Those choices seemed odd, until I realized - in addition to the captains, Michael (since she's the star of Disco), and Spock (because he's so popular) - they have Troi, Bashir, Reed, and Tyler, who are all played by Brits. So, along with Patrick Stewart and Jason Isaacs, it's celebrating the British actors who have played Star Trek characters.

Great, now I'm picturing captain Kirk paying the Queen (of course still alive and reigning in the mid 23rd century, there's no telling how long she will go on) a courtesy visit.

(and yes, I know Kirk is from Iowa, and that there probably wouldn't be a queen of GB anymore ... it's just an image that popped up in my head, it doesn't necessarily have to make sense )

Edit: I made it so--I pre-ordered the stamps from the Royal Mail web site, and the shipping to the US was not bad at all. The total was approximately $15.18 (£11.60).

Interestingly the Troi one is a photo edit/composit.
That's her head from her Season 5 publicity shot (for which she still wore the purple jumpsuit) pasted onto her Season 7 body...

the Kirk and Spock are great ,but Im not in awe of this stamp collection. no Uhura, Scotty, Bones, Sulu,Checkov
To many iconic characters not included!

The meddle sets and some of the packaging that comes with the stamps is pretty good!(and contains the full original crew)
but I do think someone should have told the creators of the stamps that Nichelle Nichols(Uhura) is to important not to be on a stamp.
It would also have been nice to have seen the brilliant full new Film cast.
may be they can do that when they release the new Star Trek film they absolutely have to make!!!!!
