Last time, they were released ahead of time on Netflix under the Trailer and more section.

    So far? Nothing now.

i get that the waters have been muddled with Children of Mars as what belongs to which series.
Is it possible that Short Treks are considered their own show now and no one has the rights?

Probably. Get a region free Blu-ray player and just import the current release from the US.

One of the S2 Short Treks was definitely related to Picard. While the other 5 were technically Discovery related, the 3 live action ones should now be considered part of SNW. That leaves the 2 animated ones. One is definitely Discovery. The other is more SNW and TOS than Discovery, with the only Discovery connection being the tardigrade.

I was thinking this myself earlier today, but tomorrow is likely the time to check. I think it was just the day before S2 E1 dropped that the first lot quietly appeared.

Probably. They used to be on, All Access, under a "Short Treks" tab next to "Full Episodes" under Discovery. Now, they're their own separate series on CBS All Access.

The "Short Treks" DVD and Blu-Ray got international distribution. All except "Children of Mars".
