@Ian Simpson I think you are almost there. The only thing that stands out is the transition of the armrests to the front lip of the chair. The transition is rounder than what you have. Look at the closest Burke 116 in this screenshot:

That's looking pretty good! One hour? Wow. It took me most of the day to model the 115

There were several different types of chairs used. The most common was armless with the X base.

Yep - that's the Burke 115 with the X base.

The next was the armed with the X base.

Which is this one, the Burke 116 with the X base.

But there was also the armed with the round (tulip) base that matched many of the tables.

Interesting. Which episode did you see this one in?

I have yet to notice or find a photo of an armless chair with the round base.

There is also a different chair used in The Cage briefing room scene that appears to be a similar, but very different design.

That's the Arthur Umanoff office chair. It was in the briefing room and in Pike's cabin.

The late Greg Schnitzer did all the props for Star Trek Phase II and there is a stickied post in the Fan Production section that provides links to a ton of his posts. You might find that particular item among his posts (IDK) but you will find oodles of good info on TOS props in general.

Hi TOS fans.

I've been working on some materials in UE4 in order to complete the rec room and to update the materials for the bussard collectors. For the record I hate transparent materials such a headache. I don't remember seeing the other end wall of the rec room and so I have taken some artistic liberty on this, let me know what you think. I still need to make some more assets for this area but here it is so far.

I assume you're discounting the viewscreen wall that came up in a couple of episodes because it is technically in the Briefing Room, not the Rec Room. That's fair.
However, we still did get a glimpse of the rear wall in The Way To Eden, which also featured the rarely used back door:

You know I don't remember that, but I don't watch that episode much it's not one of my favourites, I agree I like mine better too. I am going to extend the corridor and so I can have the Rec room, and Briefing room and the Hearing room in different locations. I am just preparing the Hearing room to make use of the Briefing room walls while I'm about it, I going to create the ship's theatre too, AKA engineering.

It might look like that, but maybe the exercise bars are just there in the theatre to provide a distraction for members of the audience during particularly boring performances?

I propose, in universe, there is no theater only the gymnasium. The back wall and side mesh-screen is obviously the gym. It looks like they brought in benches from the chapel for make-shift seating. The stage (consisting of lighting and set pieces) are probably all owned by the Karidian Company. The ship's gymnasium was used because it was the only room big enough to set up the stage. This is what we did in both my grade school and high school gym. The gym gets daily use, while a theater is not economical for only a few uses per year. Ditto for a Starship.

My high school (in the UK) did the same thing, which is why I always felt that the connection shown on Star Trek (once I spotted those wall bars) made perfect sense. Our gym doubled as theatre, full school assembly and even exam hall. I can't imagine a space ship (even a Starfleet one!) being so wasteful with space that it would have a dedicated theatre which sat empty 99% of the time.
