PS: I will admit that, at least for us on Star Trek, we have fantasied about a combined universe between Star Wars and Trek movie. There have been a lot of ideas thrown about on putting together two iconic universes and having all of these great characters coming into contact. I would personally get such a kick out of that.
Obviously it wouldnt/couldn't ever happen due to rights (I doubt even a comic series crossover could happen)and the sheer implausible lunacy of it.. but... you never know.. I mean whoever expected Marvel Universe/Avengers movies or the forthcoming DC multiverse..or even the implausibly of a SW sequel trilogy or Nimoy returning to Trek in a 150m TOS movie (still cant believe they did that) and PStew coming back to play Picard in a Nemesis sequel (or that).. plus the virus will make Hollywood double down on guaranteed big stuff more sequels and crazy crossovers just to stay relevant/make money (I mean who wouldn't watch Star Trek v Wars?)

I guess if it ever happened it'd be set between Empire/Jedi or just after (so to be in that familiar SW era everyone loves) with an 'All Stars' Trek crew (Picard and some TNG/7o9 and/or Pine & Co) and a new SW cast (maybe an OT recast Sebastian Stan, Stranger Things girl etc..plus 3PO/R2/Chewie/yoda, with Hamill in there as older Luke somehow) vs the Empire (Vader, Emperor etc).. as to how theres endless scenarios: Q/timetravel/alt universes/holodeck

The 1980s was the time for that to happen.
I can see Kirk looking at Luke as a son—proxy for David. Kirk would be the surrogate father.

Now, Quinto’s Spock and an older Leia could talk about the loss of their homeworlds.

Too late for that too.
