I walked into that one.
Actually, I did write a parody minific, but I made the mistake of putting it in the Fan Fiction section.

Honestly, I think there is plenty of room for a lot of different types of fiction, and more parody would be welcomed.
I'm grading most of LDS on a curve, mainly because of its very broad humor, even so most of it is pretty underwhelming.
I've never seen any Starfleet officer in the main characters actually be in bloodlust, murderous rage without outside influence. Lorca was possibly the most vicious ever, but he of course, was from the MU.
RAMA
.To me, the only problematic part of the whole affair is that Boimler had taken seven years of people's personal logs to create the base simulation and make it more realistic. As Rutherford touches on, those are supposed to be private and invading someone's privacy is not cool. But I don't harsh on Geordi for doing something similar in creating holo-Leah Brahms in Booby Trap (though he used only publicly available sources, it's still kinda creepy).
It's not unreasonable that less seasoned officers would still have to deal with rage and other psychological issues too.
Yup. Those officers don't has a single imperfection.Pfft. They are all supposed to be perfect Barbie and Ken-bots.

Reminds me of MASH. Complete paragon of military virtue were all those officers.
.
That was the worst part about the episode and I don’t really care if Boimler never makes it back from Titan; he was always the least interesting person on the ship.
A line from the movie comes to mindYup. Those officers don't has a single imperfection.

Agreed; I do want more of Troi and Riker!I feel as you do, but that's because Riker and Troi can stay around as long as they want to. Besides, watching Boimler go from dippy ensign to still-dippy officer might be funny in its own way.

Major Grin is a big fan of Lower Decks and is getting a lot of heat from his fan base for being so. Here's a video where he placed Alex Kurtzman's head over Doc Brown's in a scene from Back to the Future, and the comments are full of his fans questioning it as it goes against the usual haters routine.
He's in a weird, unique spot, as he dislikes Discovery and Picard, but likes Lower Decks.
it doesn't matter if he likes it or not he was still part of those bastard and as such is on my ''blacklist'' at perpetuityMajor Grin is a big fan of Lower Decks
