Paramount + is going to have the entire gamut of existing paramount/cbs produced tv series and movies in addition to any new properties. I'd say its probably going to do pretty well.

Except that is what happened with Netflix's Marvel series when disney + came around. Also Lower decks wasn't shopped to any international streaming services outside of North America, it wasn't because no one wanted it.

I can't see that being a big success, hence why I would be worried about the future of Trek.

The future of Trek is fine. Even if canceled there is still plenty of content that will have been produced.

Agreed. It's very difficult for me to worry over a brand's continuation when there is so much output that I can't even keep up at the current pace. And that's OK with me

What a weird thing to say. What "bias"? Bias against what? This is just speculation about the international market - Netflix helped get Discovery off the ground, then CBS went and sold Picard to their direct competitor. We know with the Marvel stuff, they can be petty.

Internationally, I can't watch Lower Decks legally and there is zero hype for Discovery. They're currently promoting The Rock's Doom movie from about 15 years ago on the front page! I couldn't get away from Umbrella Academy or Enola Jones the past month.
