Speculation: what will the Lower Decks season 1 finale contain?

hopefully more of Tendi's beautiful green skin! I'm still reeling from her slave girl outfit, holy :censored:!

Butt seriously, we saw Brad's Boimler a few weeks ago, so here's hoping one of the girls strips down for this one! (I won't even tell you where they're going to stick that Exocomp!)
ok, i'll stop.

Including the Exocomps kind of reminds me of Mike McMahan's TNG S8, of which Exocomps were a source of much humour. Looking forward to seeing how that plays out on the show.

Yes, that was the Titan. But I'm referring to the fact that Picard is in command of some starship for his Romulus mission (which, onscreen, we see him beaming to and from). Also, it's established onscreen that Raffi is connected to this ship as well, which is consistent with the comic.
Was Jean-Luc Picard in command of the ship or was the ship just ferrying him there on some sort of diplomatic errand?

My guess is that (episode 9 spoiler)...
Boimler accidentally spills the secret about Mariner and either gets her or the Captain removed from the Cerritos. The episode ends on a bit of a cliffhanger.

I imagined Boimler makes it as far as first officer but can't make it any further much to his own frustration
The more I think about it, the more I think Boimler is destined to become another Harry Kim. He wants to make it but his nervousness and trying too hard will prevent him from moving up at all. Maybe he'll get a pity promotion to Lieutenant JG like Blue-Shirt Picard in "Tapestry".

I think this whole series will show how they're stuck in the Lower Decks. Them getting promoted is like Gilligan getting off the island. Or us having flying cars.

I feel sorry for the Exocomps. This stupid Synth ban must have not been fun for them

I don't see how the Exocomps could have had anything to do with that.

Synths were banned because they were made to mimic humanoids. That obviously doesn't apply to Exocomps.

As for the LD season finale...

Vindicta AGAIN? :wtf:

OH OH OH ... I bet I know where the Mod's would like to stick it.

Well the synth band seems to be only on humanoid type synthetics. Artificial intelligence wasn't banned, Plus the EXO comps are more like floating industrial replicators with AI built in.

If all AI were banned, I doubt Starfleet starships could have functioned; and emergency holographic medical personnel and other types of emergency holograms would have been banned, but we know from the series Picard, they weren't.

Bottom line: I don't think EXO comps were affected by the synth ban imposed by the Federation in 2387.
