Nice! Your Eagle-class is a dead ringer for the FASA Larson-class, one of my favorites since the 1980s. The added details your take has are cool though. I like the thicker hull, the impulse engines and expanded engineering area. I never did care for the hanging dish a la Franz Joseph, but that's a matter of personal taste.

Well done!

To be honest I had only seen that original class a few times, and I remember one of the pics I saw of it had "USS EAGLE" across it's hull, even searching out "Eagle Class Star Trek" years later for this venture I only found one pic to use as reference, and it was a bow on pic, so no impulse, nor underbelly to reference. So I had to improvise. lol

Nice work! just out of curiosity but was FASA designs considered canon?
I think a few designs ended up on TAS, in those cases, yes they are canon

No! At least, mostly no. Though the FASA RPG was considered "official" material in the 80s while it was being made, canon is only what was onscreen. So, no, FASA ships are not canon, except for two which did get used in early TNG to flash on viewscreens in a barely legible manner.

And TAS was made entirely in the mid 70s about a decade before any FASA product. The TAS references found therein are not a case of game material being brought into canon, but, rather, cartoon material being brought into a game.
