Disney has sent out a message saying that The New Mutants will definitely be coming out on the 28th. It seems pretty gutsy at this point to be releasing a movie that early, but I guess they must have decided they'd delayed the damn thing enough and want to just get it out there.
I wanna see it, but I'm not sure if I'm really ready to go back to the theater yet, if it's even going to be open then.

I agree with what others are saying. It's being released, contract has been fulfilled, they can VOD it in 4 weeks on Disney+ or something.

Okay, thank you. I am actually interested enough in this movie now that it has been delayed so often that I am going to read about the source material.

Like all of the Fox X-Men movies it is probably less "based on" and more vaguely inspired by. Still, the original tale was pretty solid if I remember correctly.

Not in any version I've seen, but her father is a nasty enough bigot to do it.

That's my birthday but there's no way in hell I'm going to a theater yet. And I was going 3 times a week before.

Yeah. I was definitely going to see this one. Which is an accomplishment for the trailers because I don't normally like watching horror movies in a theater and I didn't have a lot of faith left in fox's x-men stuff after Apocalypse.

But I'm not going to a movie theater in the middle of a pandemic. If it had been Avengers Endgame coming out now (which was basically my most anticipated movie of the decade), I would break my streak of having seen every MCU film since GotG in theaters and been very sad about it for however many months it took before I could see it on disc/streaming. But I'm not sitting in a room with a dozen+ strangers for multiple hours just to see a movie a few months earlier.

As a label, it debuted in "Days of Future Past," but there it was worn on clothing like the patches the Nazis made their prisoners wear. As a brand on the skin, it might have been with Bishop, but I'm not sure.
