Agents of SHIELD First Time Viewing

This is the weakest season so far. Besides the increased silliness level that doesn’t mesh with the show’s established style, the plotting has been uncharacteristically sloppy and they are ignoring all the established time travel rules of the universe.

I can't agree. Besides being delightful, the silliness level really isn't that much higher than some previous episodes. Also, it does fit in with the time travel ruled of the MCU as seen in Endgame (the "be careful or you'll branch off other timelines" rule, specifically).

Without knowing the ending, I'd probably rank the seasons 2, 3, 5, 4, 1, 6, 7 so far.

Hey, what's up with science fiction shows and seven seasons? Three Treks, Buffy, SHIELD. Why seven?

I've started off from not liking the show to it coming into it's own as it went on. I've really liked it since the Framework and Ghost Rider arcs.

As far as I know, most TV contracts are for five years. If a show has done well enough to get there, renegotiation is required for each season from six.

By season seven, it's usually on the edge of costing too much to make unless it's a massive hit like Friends. Either that or they retire some actors and get a cheaper cast in.

I just think some of the stuff like Deke's band or the other genre nods feel more like episodes of Community, or Buffy than the first five seasons of the show.

And the cause and effect between the Chronicons intent and the effects on the timeline don't logically track.
