MLB Pseudo-Season 2020: Roger, Dodgers

The Cubs with their Swiss cheese of a bullpen are 8-2. IDK how long they can keep that winning % up, or even if we'll ever get to 60 games, but it's been fun to watch. Even Tyler Chatwood has been great in both starts. The only really bad start was Kyle Kendricks in his 2nd go.

A few relievers are looking good, and maybe with a 60 game season they won't get abused like Kintzler and Cishek last year. I still wish we would've have kept both those guys. I don't know who the hell most of them are.

"This guy's dead!"

"Take him off the list, then..."

Kimbrel made things interesting again last night by letting 2 of 3 batters he faced on base and Kyle Ryan let them both score. We went from leading 5-2 to scratching out a 5-4 win. Jeffress was solid in the 8th. Jeffress and Wick are looking like they should alternate @ closer and Kimbrel should be cleaning toilets.

Yeah, they need to come up with a phantom injury for Kimbrel to put him on the IL, something is very broken with his release point.

Scherzer left tonight's game with an apparent elbow injury.

What? You mean that only a few rushed weeks of prep and conditioning didn't have dudes' arms fully stretched out? I am shocked.

I'm surprised at least pitches don't opt out. I understand wanting money but your not going to make much money if you ruin your arm going through this rush job of a season.

30-year-old infield Eddy Alvarez made his Major League debut with the Marlins. Who is he? A silver medalist speed skater for Team USA in the 5000-meter relay at the 2014 Winter Olympics.

How fast was he able to skate around the virus, was he wearing a mask, does the cold weather help ;)...well I actually meant what is his position, whom does he play for and what did he do?

-------------------------------------------

Btw, the Reds manager and his use of their starters and bullpen sucks out loud. David Bell continues to get the Reds bell...:brickwall:

I wish there was video of Victor Caratini scoring from 1st base last night. He laid face down at home plate for what seemed like a full minute. He's not built for speed, that's for sure.

It was shown on MLB Central this morning.

Oh, I saw it first hand, but mlb.com and cubs.com videos don't have an URL to link to.

So this Colin Rae, pitching in his first MLB game in 4 years, looked pretty good in the ninth. If he turns out to be as good in the long run, add him to Jeffress and Wick and we're only 2 or 3 more arms away from a decent bullpen.

Starters have been good 9 out of 12 starts.

I refuse to pay $60 a month for the privilege of watching Cubs games. I have Dish, and they don't carry the Marquee network.
