More precisely, Sisko said Worf “probably” wouldn’t get a command of his own. Sisko also admitted he would have done the same thing in Worf’s position. In the years that followed, Worf served as a Federation Ambassador and later Picard XO. I find it very plausible that with Picard (at that time, Starfleet’s most renown captain) advocating on his behalf, Starfleet would take a fresh look at the matter and reconsider.
Gotta admit, that entire discussion was probably the most painful thing I was exposed to all day, and I spend nine hours in a lab, and multiple seconds of that being exposed to the smell of hydrogen sulfide, so yeah. But TATV sucks.
I'd want to see many starships designs. Galaxy, Excelsior, Intrepid, Soverign, defiant, Nebula, miranda, Akira, 2 warbird designs + scout, 4 klingon designs. I'd want to see Darmok or his species. I want to see Vash I want to see Ro Laren and Tom Riker I want to see Wesley Crusher, Jake Sisko and Molly O'brien I want to see Grand Nagus Rom Betezed wedding, Packled colony I want to see a Klingon administration/paperwork ship, doing competitive work
ah, I think I see the difference in interpretation. it's not an ent story, but a tng story quite obviously, I think. what is so painful about this exchange? what did you think of trials and tribbleations, flashback, relics, st09, unification...?
I think we both tried to substantiate our points with reasons, facts, observations about pegasus... at least I did. we won't convince each other cause it's a matter of interpretation, perspective, and taste, but my eternal hope in these exchanges is an eventual understanding of both viewpoints
there are people here who only post "it really isn't" or "nope" with no further explanation, but I'm not one of them
Tribbles was OK. Flashback was Meh, Relics sucked, ST 09 was probably the best out of them all, Unification was...just OK. Could have been better.
Indeed. And, less I come across as completely against cameos I am not. But, I am not a fan of cameos for the sake of fan service. I want them to make sense within the context of the world and story. In my opinion, many of those were not additive. Which, is fine for fun of it. But, it is, as you say, different strokes.
I understand how and why people feel the way they do about "These Are the Voyages". They're not wrong for feeling the way they do. In fact, I think they're completely justified. If I were an ENT Fan, I'd feel the same way... ... but I like TNG better than ENT, and neither are in my Favorites Category, so I have to part ways with the people who don't like "These Are the Voyages" or outright hate it. As much fun as it is to take a dig at it like everyone else sometimes, I just don't have a problem with it. The Riker/Troi framing is what made the episode for me, as a Non-ENT Fan. Even more fun was watching them try to make Jonathan Frakes look like TNG Riker and not pulling it off.
While not a misogynistic joke, I absolutely cracked up the time that Q called out to Worf, “Romulan!” As an insult.
I just watched the episode yesterday to sorta prepare for the new series even though the episode is much heavier in tone than the series will be,
As I think about this right this moment it's a year after Nemesis, Voyager is home, it's animation where you don't have to worry about actor's aging & physical appearance.... there are a lot of options here.
