Agents of SHIELD First Time Viewing

They needed a compelling reason for Hale to go against Hydra, and from what we know of Hydra agents a child is the only thing big enough, but that's it.

Seems more likely that it was Blade Runner, all things considered. Though whether it's BR, NuBSG & AoS; there's always an Olmos in there somewhere...

Didn’t realize it was also used there.

Starting to wonder if they’re going to reveal the Earth wasn’t quaked, its gravity was eliminated so the geothermic forces pushed it apart.

well when I said that it felt like the middle of season 5 stalled a bit, that was the reason why. It did feel like season 5 could have easily been 13 episodes, like what season 6 and 7 are.

Yeah, I think both the future trip and the Matrix trip were longer than they needed to be. If they were going to do 22 episode seasons they should have left some in between time for some standalone episodes like the earlier seasons.

Is it explained why the gravitonium made Talbot into a psychopath?

So, they did create a divergent timeline? The crucial change being, Coulson listened to Elena and did not use the cure on himself, so Daisy brought that syringe with her?

I was thinking "Wait, they actually killed Fitz?" Then I remembered "Oh right, he's cryogenically frozen somewhere, they just Gemora'd him."

I may have missed a crucial detail, but did Deke vanish from existence or just run off alone?

Are Piper and the pilot permanent cast members or are they just two more Tripps destined to be dramatically killed off? Is the cast really being shaken up here or is it still the core 7?

I spent all half-season waiting for the other shoe to drop with Spare Fitz. I was so happy they didn't forget about that.

Intentionally ambiguous.

They're probably below Tripp-level, honestly. It still surprises me in retrospect he was killed off so quickly.

They're just recurring, so they come and go throughout the seasons.

In fact, Davis goes all the way back to episode 1.09, "Repairs", but he didn't get a name until much later than that.

Wow, I didn't realize he'd been around that long. I completely forgot what about his fate until I skimmed the article.
The thing that I find the most amusing about Piper is the fact that the actress also played a very similar DEO agent on Supergirl at the same time she was on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., in my head I consider them multiverse doppelgangers of each other.

I think it was just the mix of all the people who were sucked in the Gravitonium running around in his head. I would probably go nuts as well if that happened to me.

Not just any people: the comic book Graviton, the sleaze who shot Daisy, then Absorbing Man and a member of The Confederacy. All right after he was shot in the head then brainwashed by Hydra.

In the middle of season 6 premiere. Weird after all tat they just have Mack and Yo-yo break up.

So, S.H.I.E.L.D. is back and legit again? How did that happen? Is that explained or are we to just assume some other Jeffrey Mace argued for reestablish them?

Ley lines? I learned about those last year, on a food tour in Sedona, AZ from a tour guide who definitely believed in aliens who visit Earth through stargates. The idea is that lots of spirituality important places were built along them and Sodona had healing properties because there were seven vortexes, intersections of ley lines there. Weird to see that concept used here, it’s the kind of thing I’d have expected in Buffy.

My thought on the S5 ending are so-so. Good enough not to ruin the season, but not good enough to be impressed.

I expected Coulson to be back somehow but evil alternate universe Coulson, that’s weird.

And let's be honest, he wasn't exactly working with a full deck even before the cranial injury...

Wait, are there some aliens from outside the universe taking the identities of recently dead people, and is the hunter chasing Fitz because he thinks Fitz is one of them like Coulson?

This must be the season they said **** it and let themselves go crazy with the weirdness. It feels like a Buffy season with the humor. The drugs, the Chronicon.

Smart demon bird. Knows to go right for the the guy who’s coming in between two in love main characters.

Whatever happened to melted metal guy? At one point he seemed equal to Yo-yo, is he just retired somewhere under protection?

He killed one of the scariest minor villains.
