Hey everyone! To celebrate this anniversary, the Elite Force community bands together for a few gaming nights. Everyone is welcome to join us. Should you have the problem of not having a copy of the game, you are lucky. You can get the multiplayer for free from The Last Outpost. Same with Klingon Academy. It is like time was supposed to stop with the year 2000, until we got Discovery built
I had just got dial up internet in 1999 from NTL, you logged in for free 1 hou sessions then had to dial up to join again, it was great, and the demo of this came in at just under 500mb, so i left the PC on all night with a auto dial up thing so when i came home from the nightshift the demo was ready, just i pity my PC was not even close to running this monster of a game. lol
Weird story for me, but it’s actually what got me into Star Trek. When I was a kid, my uncle visited me and gifted me Elite Force during his visit and I became a little obsessed with it and Voyager was still on TV at that time so I started watching more and more Trek when I could. Yeah, I really wish it was still possible to play it, but I cannot find any way for it to work on Windows 10 or before, 7. I would pay out the nose for Activision or whoever the hell owns the rights to get this released on steam or GOG.
I still have the original disk! I haven't tried installing it on the last couple computers I've owned. Has anyone gotten it to run on Windows 10? Kor
Still got the original disk too, though the last time I tried was on W7. Think I had some issues then too
Yeap still got the original disc and the retail add on that came out later that added Ryans voice to the main game.
The expansion pack was great! Assimilation mode, exploring the ship... They should've done that for EF2 as well.
I think my demo came with a CD from a gaming magazine! I liked this game a lot and loved how the Borg would adapt to my phaser fire. The Type 1haser was great, and I loved erecting the forcefield, trapping the crewman to perish in the corridor of Voyager when everything was exploding.
For those who have problems with the game just check out this wiki. Elite Force is one of those rare games, which runs on nearly all versions of Windows/Linux.
Don’t know if you know this, but Elite Force was also released for the PlayStation 2, so if you have a PS2 or early PS3 you can still play it that way.
Probably the Star Trek game I had the most fun with (maybe after Starfleet Academy) ... Quake 3-Engine at it´s best.
I loved the stage where you went on the station that was an amalgamation of a few different species. Once I hit the TOS section, I was wowed.
