Who is your least favorite out of all the Doctor Who companions you've seen? The most annoying, the least interesting? Let's keep it to 1 entry each and do not repeat a companion who has already been entered.

I know you're talking about the character, not the actor, but FYI: Ian Marter wrote some really excellent novelizations of some of the Classic Who stories.

Well, there's still lots of time left, so I guess we could go to two entries per person. Rather surprised no one entered Adric yet. I kinda liked him but lots of people certainly don't.

I'll add Ryan as my second choice. I don't actively dislike him. I just find him boring.

Nyssa. Some like her. Peter Davison said she was his favorite Companion. I just don't get it. She was so stuck-up and boring most of the time, and not very likeable. And she had some of the dumbest wardrobes in the entire series, finishing off her tenure in her underwear. When she left, not even Tegan seemed to notice that maybe she should take a shirt and pants or skirt with her.

Hm. He did do his share of running and hiding and being captured, not to mention his deal with the Black Guardian. But at least he was redeemed and finally turned into a companion I liked. It would have been interesting if he and the Doctor could have been on their own for a few stories; it could have been a more modern version of the Second Doctor/Jamie dynamic.
