Lal

I saw The Offspring last week on disc and noticed that the android version of Lal (male, Leonard Crofoot) had like a blocking light thing around his crotch in the episode to hide his privates! But later on when he is walking around the corridors with Data his crotch is very visible! Has anyone else noticed this as well or is it just me and it's not an edit and has always been there? Was this only on the DVD or was it on the transmitted episode as well though I can't recall and any tapes I made of this episode are long gone!

Are you asking if we always saw Lal's crotch in the episode? Because the answer is yes. I'm not sure what the big deal is. Lal has no genitalia in their first stage, so walking around completely unclothed isn't much cause for a stir.

 

I've seen TNG so many time now that the only thing left to watch is people's crotches. As an aside, what do you suppose 24th century underwear is like? I'd imagine it's more comfortable and supple than what we have

Yeah, two access panel hatches at just the right places and in glorious HD. Impressive for something with big hands. The costumiers were having a bigger gag than writing the lyrics to "The Ballad of Gilligan's Island" on one of those maroon stickers there.

Or if nothing else, "yuck".

Or maybe not.

 

Right up there and shining away like a torch! at least I think it must be part of the episode now rather than an edit!

Maybe it's a crotch fetish

 

Got bugger all sleep last night so my eyes are playing tricks on me, read that as a "crocs fetish"

 

No I don't have a fetish about crotches but I did see that squiggle around that area of the costume and wondered if it was an edit but later on it's gone and it is there on the photo you put up so must be part of the show!
