Do you want the Kelvin Universe to continue?

I would like the Kelvinverse to continue. I found ST:Beyond to be somewhat of a letdown. It would be nice if the series got the chance to go out with a bang.

Before that TUC reunion movie, when they inevitably do some sort of Crisis on Infinite Treks CBS-AA crossover epic, I'm sure they'll cameo someone from the Kelvin universe.

I'm torn. On the one hand, Beyond proved to me that they can actually make a good movie, on the other a sequel without Checkov would just be sad. Maybe stick to comics/novels?

I’d like to see Orci’s idea of a return to the Prime timeline done as the next to next to the last ‘09 reboots.

But, somehow, they can’t be a part of it now, and they do the time travel movie, except now they meet the Disco Enterprise...

...I kind of like the Kelvin Universe and would like it to continue parallel with Trek Prime.
Yeah, in my perfect world that's how it would be: parallel with or both/and.

Keep the Prime Timeline if they want, fine, no problems there. But keep the Kelvin Universe too.

I assume (and hope and pray) Paramount took notice of what Warner Bros. are doing with their DC movies moving forward and apply that to Star Trek. Because you can have your cake and eat it too, keep it all. They of course are already ahead of the game and have everything in place now, so it's just a matter of doing it.

That Deadline article from a few weeks back: Emma Watts' Top Priority At Paramount: Figure Out 'Star Trek' Reboot

The Noah Hawley Star Trek with the new crew is on the back burner because of the virus plotline. Fine, no problem. And the Kirk father and son movie is the one I suppose has the best chance of being made at the moment. Okay, fine.

The Deadline article said "These decisions will take place over the next few weeks," so maybe after Labor Day we may start to hear something?

I guess what I'd like to see, assuming they don't shelve all of the scripts that they have now and start over again, is try and come to an agreement and do the Kirk father and son movie. And they can use that to close out the current cast's storyline; and it'll of course be an awesome way to close/bookend the great opening to Star Trek '09. Then do the Noah Hawley Star Trek with the new crew, and just set that in the Kelvin Timeline. And also do a backdoor pilot in either one of the movies for a Paramount+ (assuming that's what they rebrand CBS All Access as) TV series.

Done and done.

Keep and treat the Prime Timeline TV series as "classic Trek" type shows to keep that audience happy. And make the Kelvin Timeline TV series like the movies to keep that audience happy.

Done and done.

This isn't hard, is it?

I liked the cast, but for me they're the high point of the three films. Story quality and presentation has been wildly uneven. Until Beyond I thought that Simon Pegg could set them back on track, but then I saw that for whatever reason that wasn't true. If they keep doing "writing by committee" then I'm just as hay to let it go.
