Cameos you're hoping to see...

I may be an odd ball, but I think I would rather Voyager, Enterprise and DS9 show up as characters rather than the crew themselves. Cerritos is left to patrolthe Bajoran sector but not allowed to go into gamma quadrant, hyjinks happen and they go. Or they second contact a planet from either the Kirk or Picard area and deal with a comical, unexpected and absurd outcome from the original mission. Or Voyager has the most new contacts of any ship and the Cerritos wants to beat them to the next one. Stuff like that.

It just occurred to me: this series would be perfect for revisiting the Iotians. They'll take over the Cerritos and demand a piece of their action!

IIRC they glommed onto gangster culture because they were "highly impressionable." What if they were so impressed regarding Kirk that when they rediscover them they are all dressing/acting like the TOS era?

IIRC that was one of the ideas pitched for an anniversary episode, before we ended up with "Trials and Tribble-ations."

The episode "Trials and Tribble-ations" was originally envisioned as a return to Sigma-Iotia where the planet became one large TOS Trek convention. It would be cool if they resurrected the idea for this show.

Really any DS9 character, Kira/Nana would be the one most appreciated. For nonhumanoid species, Tholians.

If I remember correctly, it also popped up in The Worlds of The Federation book?

I think it would be interesting if they went to the Gamma Quadrant and had some sort of mission regarding relations with the Dominion (trade, etc). Would be a nice way to show how the federation and the dominion coexisted after the war.

No matter who, if anyone from the main cast of TNG, DS9, or VOY shows up, it's gonna be great.

I hope it won't be anyone important, but rather someone like the random guy at conn in an early TNG episode, or at most someone like Simon Tarses or Vorik who got an episode, or were recurring, but mostly without major stories.

It is? :vulcan:

I mean, thankfully Riker and Troi broke that curse but there are definitely hits and misses that I could not say this with 100% confidence.
