Agents of SHIELD First Time Viewing

I saw the season 3 finale. The way the season ended was beautiful. Lincoln taking Daisy’s place in the prophecy. And the moment where Hive accepted defeat and just talked to him.

The flash forward is weird, Daisy is Robin Hood now.

Ok, now that you are done with the season, I can say what I want to say. I think Season 3 convinced me how awesome Shield as a series could be. The way they set up the prophecy in the back half of the season was great, and on a binge it does feel like the urgency is ramped up with each episode. Once you finally get to the end and it's Lincoln who was in the ship, it kind of makes sense, especially the scenes where a game of hot potato is used with the cross and you just can't figure it out until it actually happens. Also, the scene where Daisy completely breaks down is the scene that finally sold me that Daisy was an amazing character and I didn't care if she was "Mary Sue-ish" or not. To go from Skye the hacker in season 1 to Daisy the one who completely breaks down because her lover paid the ultimate sacrifice was just really really well done. I loved season 2, but it really was Season 3 where I became addicted to the show. Everything else after that was gravy and that is one of the reasons why I think I was able to finish it in a little over a month.

I hope you enjoy season 4 which delves into some very interesting psychological questions and honestly, does things that I think Picard hoped they could do but didn't quite get there.

AoS does that a lot--taking things Trek hasn't quite been able to pull off and doing them far better.

That episode was cool, but I don’t understand how they knew Lash could block Hive’s kind control.
They didn't exactly. It was a quasi-desperation move. "Send a monster to kill a monster" and all that. Plus to date he'd been the most effective at resisting other Inhumans' powers, and then killing them so it was worth a shot.

Unless I'm missing a detail in a scene somewhere, didn't Australian guy and body double woman survive?

Are they still brainwashed or do they end up in withdrawal?

I liked that scene with telekinesis guy. "...But you were a killer BEFORE you were brainwashed." *Invisible gun*

I'm watching the season 4 premiere. Looks like the current big bad is flaming skull guy but this show rarely keeps the same big bad for the whole season.

When do you get the explanation of what happened in the six months in between? The squad being split up, Daisy going Robin Hood. Verner Von InhumanGas apparently being trusted now and building a robot girl. Is that made more clear in the series or is it either Agent Carter or that web series you mentioned?

Curious who's giving flaming skull guy his kill orders.

Ghost Rider answers to a higher power. Or a lower one depending upon your perspective.

The web series will definitely fill in a few blanks. And now that you know who survived season 3, I can tell you that it's titled "Slingshot", starring Elena "Yo-Yo" Rodriguez. I'm not sure if it's ever been said out loud on the show, but "Slingshot" is Yo-Yo's superhero name in the comics.

Yes and no, respectively. The Kree hunters merced Aisha's last remaining body.

The sway died with Hive.

The basic gist of the time gap will be unpacked bit by bit. It's about what one might expect though, given where everyone way post Hive.

The Agent Carter show takes place in the 40's, so the only direct tie-ins are passing mentions of things like nitramene, Isodyne and the darkforce.

I always wondered in the back of my mind why they never really used her comic book codename and went with "Yo-Yo" instead. However, given the recent evolution of her powers I think they may end up ditching the latter appellation and finally naming her 'Slingshot' before the show's end.
