The "Omni Viewer" on YouTube is gonna' be red faced as he's been assuring everybody for awhile the movie would be released "on time".

Shame considering I loved King of the Monsters.

Anyway, I don't see a delay as reason to assume the worst. Lots of big movies get delayed -- sometimes it's about taking the time to get it right, instead of rushing to meet an inflexible release date (something that's hurt a lot of movies in the past).

I just hope it's not due to the studio deciding to fix some perceived problem and making things worse. The sad thing is that unless this movie does extremely well we're probably not going to get any more Monsterverse movies.

I hope there aren't any problems, I've really enjoyed all three Monsterverse movies so far, and I'd like to see it continue on for a while.

Okay, less than a year old, so this should be okay to resurrect. New promo art from Playmates Toys:

Cool Art. But in the movie universe, Kong is much smaller than Godzilla. I am wondering how that is going to be addressed.

In this poster, it looks like Godzilla has been shrunk down quite a bit.

They already laid the groundwork for it in Kong: Skull Island, by mentioning that Kong was still growing (and the movie was set in the '70s).

That might be perspective, or it might just be that the concept/promo art is not actually a clip from the film. Anyway, kaiju movies have often faked the monsters' size from shot to shot for the sake of aesthetics/composition, even going back to the original King Kong.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Kong is going to have gotten bigger since Kong Island.

I didn't watch that far--I tried watching this movie twice but got so bored I could never finish it. I enjoyed both Godzilla movies though.

Oh, Skull Island is my favorite of the Legendary MonsterVerse films so far. It has some excellent character work.

Yeah, it was an awesome movie. Samuel L. Jackson was especially good in it.

I just wish the focus had been more on John C. Reily and Sam Jackson's characters. The conflict between two soldiers, one who learned to make peace with his enemy and one who didn't, was great. But it got a bit lost when the focus was on Tom Hiddlestone and Brie Larson who didn't have any real depth.

I'll agree there. Still, "didn't have any real depth" is too often the default for kaiju-movie characters, so it's a plus that deeper characters like Jackson's, Reilly's, and John Goodman's were present in the film at all.
