I know it's a little early, but when is the draft going to be?

My other league's draft is (tentatively) going to be Sunday, March 22 at 4 PM EST, so hopefully not then.

Gotta look at this, but I’m in trouble on this one I’m sure. I’ll be in Hawaii for work most of the second half of March, so going to have to figure something out or trust auto draft this year.

So, are we still going to do our draft on Monday or push it back closer to whenever Opening Day may actually happen?

Yeah, will have to adjust that, sorry if it locked out (or does soon). Kicked the draft out to mid-April to buy time until we figure out when this thing may get going

Are we still planning on drafting Wednesday? I'm not sure when the deadline for players to opt out is, but it must be by then.

Another thought (while cramming info for tomorrow's draft): Perhaps we should include DH as one of our positions in addition to Utility, considering the National League will have one this season?

Really last minute, but anyone wanna join? Think we've got one owner opting out, so there's a spot available if someone wants to jump in.

^most players retain another position qualification, though. Usually says 1B/DH, or OF/DH, so having a 3rd slot to put someone in would probably just water down the rosters further. Very few, if any, players that are DH only, at least by qualification.

Given what a cluster the season is likely to be with COVID, though, I think I'm going to add another bench spot or two if people are ok with it. I see a lot more player movement than in previous years, so would be good to have a few more options for people to play with. Maybe another DL spot (or two) as well to cover any quarantine spots without having to drop important people that won;t be out that long...

That's a fair point. I brought it up because of that news and also because one of my keepers has turned into a DH only (Yordan Alvarez).

I'm good with with another bench spot.

As for DL, I don't know if it's been reflected in the lineup settings, but ESPN mentioned in their announcement for fantasy baseball actually starting was that they were adding another DL slot to allow for the COVID situation. Either way, another slot would definitely be useful.

Yep, added 1 bench spot and 2 DL spots, hopefully it won't get worse than that without them just stopping the season altogether. Was also trying to cover anyone that has a keeper-worthy person that opts out, you'd obviously rather just stash them on DL until next year than cut, so...

And yeah, Admirals is the team that withdrew, so there's an open spot if anyone knows someone that might want to play going forward. If not, it will autodraft and we'll keep trying to find someone to take the spot.

Yeah, it happens. I always at least try and set the ‘no brainer’ ones at the end of the season so even if I forget in the spring, I won’t miss out on the must haves...

Is it just me or are more and more of the ESPN fantasy baseball articles that are meant to help you out are now moving behind their paywall? Not a big deal, obviously, but still pretty annoying.
