What do the Civilian / Commercial Ships look like?

I really like the vulcan ships....any great designs out there?

So I came up with this idea:

An old Saladin Class Scout ship. Purchased from Starfleet years after it was decommissioned and repurposed as an survey, mobile research ship. Like the Calypso that Jacques Cousteau used as his ocean research ship; which was an old British Minesweeper.

Painted to ensure visibility in dense asteroid, debris fields. A shuttle bay is fitted into the primary hull along the side and the front of the upper blister has large view windows installed.

Is that a Thalassodromeus head?
lol, no. Although I can see the similarity.

Awesome!

Good day all.
So after looking up Jacques Cousteau's Calypso, I remembered that it had a landing pad for a helicopter. So I though that the repurposed Scout ship needed something similar. So what would be an appropriate stand in? A Flying Sub of course.

Honestly, the gray of the hacked-in shuttlebay gave it a way more unique flair. I'd keep that IMHO. That also doubles as your helipad stand in, though I can see where you're going with the sub!

So I've worked the converted Scout or Corvette as I'm calling it and have some more pictures of it.

Now here is a closeup of the Shuttle Launch pad up:

And it down:

More detail to come as I think it up. The Shuttle is a stretched Galileo Shuttle that I worked up for the Heavy Cruiser (Enterprise) model.

I agree. The whole setting oozes atmosphere. If you had thrown this in for the Life Aquatic challenge a few months ago, I would have surely lost!
