Who eats in front of the TV?

Yep, I usually eat while watching TV or on the laptop. Dining room table is used for entertaining.

Too late. The Sushi had been devoured. Now I'll eat chicken...in front of my notebook.

I really had no idea this was so common... :alienblush:
I also eat in front of the TV. I can still sit lotus style in front of the TV as I did while very young. More so now than while I was in my teens. I could sense my folks getting older, and I enjoyed hearing them at the table. We will always have re-runs. Time with parents are more precious.

The only reason I have a tv is so I have something to do while I eat/cook. Watching shows is almost secondary. Only the really special ones will I sit down & take it in as a viewing experience on its own

I don't get that comparison at all. Eating a sandwich over the sink is something I would do if I was in a big hurry, on my way out or something. When I prepare an elaborate gourmet meal for myself, I want to sit down and relax to an evening of leisurely entertainment along with it. Like I said earlier, "dinner and a show." It's a classic concept.

I eat toast over the sink

You gotta work fast with toast.
