No release dates, but Lucasfilm has confirmed the Taika Waititi movie, which will be co-written by Krysty Wilson-Cairns, who wrote 1917.

The tv show from Russian Doll's Leslye Headland has also been confirmed.

Unfortunately, no hints of characters or eras or anything for either.

But there's your official announcement for Star Wars Day.

Great news. I really look forward to seeing what Waititi can do with the franchise when has a bit more freedom than he did on The Mandalorian.

I think their best opportunity to bring Mara Jade into the story would have been in Rebels as one of the Inquisitors, or perhaps as the leader of the Inquisitors. The Seventh Sister could have easily been tweaked to be the Mara Jade of that time frame. I would have changed her ultimate fate, of course...

Yeah, after they brought in Thrawn I kept hoping they would do that. I was also thinking that they could have switched out Luke for Kanan in her overall arc without to much difficulty, before I realized that him and Hera were definitely a couple.

Mara Jade would fit into a post-Endor series if they decide to go after Ezra (and Thrawn). Could have Jade be after Ezra, with Ahsoka and Sabine trying to catch up.
