Ambassador Thoris of Andor by Ian McLean, on Flickr That weird feeling when Andorian Ambassador Thoris ("Terra Prime", "Star Trek: Enterprise") comes onto the TV screen - and you're standing next to the mannequin wearing the actual costume... Mineral Magnet by Ian McLean, on Flickr I've only worn the costume the once, but it is so cool knowing I own it. Ambassador Thoris's robe from Enterprise by Ian McLean, on Flickr
Thoris does NOT look impressed that someone's wearing the same costume as he is to the Ambassador's party P.S. The universal translator is a toilet cleaner, too? Is there nothing that it can't do??
Actually, I got this costume for a good price because the auction description identified it as being worn (briefly) by the unnamed Andorian general in "Proving Ground", a character which had to switch actors when the episode had a last-minute script change. Had it been correctly labelled as being worn by the named "Terra Prime" ambassador, it may have been more coveted. Thus the Paramount "Star Trek: Enterprise" label inside the sleeveless, full-length costume has three actor names on it: Ted Sutton (originally cast in "Proving Ground"), Granville Van Dusen (who played the role in the reshot, aired footage) and Joel Swetow (a "Star Trek" alien veteran) who played Ambassador Thoris in "Terra Prime". The top with the blue-furred sleeves lists Granville Van Dusen and Jowel (sic) Swetow, and the separate silver cape just Joel Swetow!
