Anyone rewatching any old shows during quarantine?

When I feel like it I've been picking various episodes of Cheers, WKRP, Diff'rent Strokes, Quantum Leap, The A-Team, Knight Rider, and Airwolf (I have all the complete series on dvd or blu-ray). I've also been watching a lot of The Andy Griffith Show as well when it is on.

I'm a bit miffed because i wanted to watch older classic Sitcoms like Cheers or Frasier but they're nowhere available legally here and i have Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney+, no way i'm getting more.

This is the drawback.. there's so many streaming companies and everybody is guarding their little piece of the pie jealously because for some it's all they have to attract customers but if it's only one or two shows i'm interested in i'll pass.

What if you used a VPN to make it look like you're in the US? That might change what shows are available. I believe that in the US, Frasier is on Amazon Prime and Cheers is on Netflix.

Frasier used to be on both Netflix and Amazon Prime in the USA. I checked and Netflix still has Cheers.

CBS has Frasier, but both are on Hulu. Hulu really is the best of the streaming services to me. New shows, old shows, cartoons, movies. I'm probably dropping Amazon Prime in June (even though I get it for $60 a year) and Netflix June 28th because I get Hulu for $2 a month, with very short commercials.

Unfortunately not in Netflix Germany - maybe because these shows are not that huge and are too old to attract millenials unlike Friends for example (still a bit pissed when it moved from Netflix to Amazon Prime here, the UI of Netflix is so simple and elegant - you can switch effortlessly to a different episode without going back to the start screen while Amazon can't)

I loathe Friends. However in the USA it went from Netflix to nothing. It hasn't been streaming this year and won't until HBO App3 launches next month. Amazon Prime video has horrible functionality.

I don't know if there are any free ones, but like Kor said you can get a VPN and change your country so you can watch Netflix USA on your computer at least.

Been doing a bit of a TNG rewatch. Mainly of Q episodes though. Big thanks to Picard for inspiring me to do so.

One thing I've noticed during this rewatch, is how much more I've noticed Picard's arrogance and stubbornness.

All kidding aside, Star Trek Picard really put a sharp focus on those aspects of him as a character and both the admiral and Riker didn't put up with his bs.

Buffy/Angel, Firefly and TNG.

Have you ever seen a show called "Dollhouse"? Made by the same people as Buffy, Angel, and Firefly... it's different, but it's interesting. Season 1 is the best...

yeah. Love Dollhouse.I adore the concept under that show and because of Buffy I love Eliza Dushku.

I think Dollhouse would have been a huge hit, even at the time, if someone gave Eliza Dushku acting lessons or they just hired someone who could fit the role.

I'm trying to finish up the Police Academy movies in the next day as Netflix gets rid of them. I don't think I'm going to finish.

The concept was very good just her acting cheesed me off so much. I didn't last the whole first season quit half way.

I like to think all those shows take place in the same universe.

So far it's been
Six Million Dollar Man (but only the episodes I like)
Person Of Interest
Sliders
An online inflation calculator I found on line, says that 6m in todays dollars is 28m dollars... However if you tried to repeat the experiment, upgrading a broken person, using 1976 tech, it's probably less than 1m.

Although, although, as a collectors item, how much is Steve Austin's corpse worth, if he's always been a secret agent that was never famous for being a cyborg?
