And the Next Cancelled Show is...

I...completely forgot they did a remake of that show that I only remember because Matthew Fox was in it before LOST.

Looks like the Party is over.

Party of 5 to Party of 0.

Party of 5 has had it's last meal. Check Please!

Viewers refuse to crash the Party.

I watched Empire for the first half of the first season and enjoyed it, maybe worth getting back into. Maybe after we know it gets a real ending.

Freeform used to be ABC Family.

That network is not trying to get the most viewers, it's trying to get specific viewers, that specific advertisers, who Freeform already has on the hook, want.

I know all of that, but besides literally two shows (The Fosters and it's spinoff and Grown-ish) the network has canceled pretty much everything. They are like Netflix.

How much of Cloak and Dagger's cancellation is on the Marvel Television/Marvel Studios fight and how much of it was up to the network's own decision (ratings, etc.)?

CBS renewed everything besides these shows.

From TVLine...
A CBS insider, meanwhile, confirms that freshman series Carol’s Second Act, Broke and Tommy, as well as venerable utility player Man With a Plan have all been cancelled. They join previously-axed Sunday drama God Friended Me will not be back for Season 3.

Isn't that most of CBS's sitcom lineup? I feel bad about CSA since it had an important message about aging and Broke since it was by some of the same people behind Jane the Virgin and has a Latinx-focus most other shows don't.

They've still got Bob Hearts Abishola, Mom, The Neighborhood, The Unicorn, and Young Sheldon, but yeah, I'm surprised they're cancelling that many with pilot season practically eliminated by the pandemic.

They may be assuming that social distancing while filming TV will either increase costs too exorbitant measures, or make it outright impossible.

The only "safe" way to do it, is to create a new bubble.

Get the cast and crew to live in an artificial village, wait a month or two, until they're sure that no one has corona, or anything else, and then lock them down. No one comes in and no one comes out.

Which means that they have to pay every one while they are sleeping, and for the inconvenience of no being with their families.

My wife got me interested in Man With A Plan and it was a good half hour diversion. The writing was sharp and Stacy Keach was a gem.

But of course, let's keep the withered husk of NCIS on for another ten years.

I'm assuming they canceled the comedies they didn't own. CSA (costumer supported agriculture! ) and Broke seemed to be good with the ratings, more so Broke I thought.

I only like Mom so everything else is ehh to me.
