Found out the tax preparers goofed last year and we are owed a refund of over $1000! And we owe nothing this year!! Woo hoo!!
I think I might have used up all my luck for the year.

Got to work 6.5 hours today, on holiday pay. Hadn't worked in a very long time, so it was great.

I got to see my mom today, thru a window but still I got to see her. And I had a nice walk in the sun and got to see other people I know. It made me feel good just to talk face to face with someone, even at the distance we have to do. Happy Easter!!

I got to know my neighbors for the first time today. I was just trying out my new leaf blower when they just invited me over. First real human contact I’ve had in weeks.

I had a rather unpleasant meeting today where I defended my professional integrity against criticisms leveled at me that were neither true, nor within my control, and in some cases not even me, but nonetheless allowed to stand. I always knew I wasn't popular, but I didn't realise it was unanimous. I know a hate figure when I see one.

Why is that good? It's incredibly liberating!

I'm embarking on my first detailed project with brand new proper materials I've been accumulating. The balsa wood is for the wooden furniture, drawers, book shelves, dining table etc, that will go in the 1:24 scale model of my own house I'm working on.
