An Endgame style story for DC would be a movie version of COIE or Infinite Crisis. But doing it right would take years, and they would have to start the whole thing over because Snyder's version really was terrible.

Of course we will! We're not all going to die. Film production will start again. Movie theaters will open again. It might be a rough road for awhile, but humanity will endure.
We're a soft generation... After seeing all the death and suffering for the next several months and likely years, people won't rush to get into crowds again, if ever...

There is no question that this is going to be a hard 12-18 months. However, you underestimate the nature of humanity to bounce back after a tragedy and the need we will have for entertainment at that time. Things will be different, yes. But don't automatically go to the absolute worst possibility. It is not healthy.

Note: There is something between a return to normal and the current lockdown. It is quite possible, even likely, that before the lockdown is lifted entirely, public events can be held again under some restrictions on the number of people able to attend and the space these attendees have to leave between each other.

That's kinda what I'm saying but I take your point. When the restrictions began but before my city went into shelter in place, one of our local theater chains that had reserved seating suggested they would have a seat on other side of you. (I did not attend a movie because my wife and I have an eleven month old and didn't really have an opportunity to line up a babysitter in the brief time those restrictions were in place, so we don't know if we could have say next to another or if there would be a seat between us.) Movie studios and theater chains are chomping at the bit to restart the industry and they will likely take protective measures like this one to make certain they can survive. Nevermind the fact that as a culture, we are quite social. We will go out into crowds again. It might be awhile before we reach this point and we might be a little apprehensive for a bit, but it will happen.

People as a collective are fucking stupid as dirt, give it a few months after the restrictions are lifted and we'll be to crowding into stores, theaters, and conventions like nothing ever happened.

Exactly. As a great man once said, "A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it."

Considering the TV DC shows just beat the movie people to it more or less...no. I mean why just copy what someone else did well? That's always a loose-loose proposition.

Because the TV version was low rent, misguided and a complete disaster, never having the substance or meaning of the classic comic source.

Moviegoers will not care about TV-COIE. The movies are a seperate matter.
