I dont mind if it's realistic or not to have that many ships I just think having that much CGI and light/lensflares flying Around spoils the fight for me as I like to see what the people and ships I care about are doing so I prefer the small battles. Doing the big fights is fine as long as the director knows how to focus it
That design looks a bit... awkward? I'll have to wait until I see them in motion to come to a solid opinion, but they seem to have proportional issues, and their detailing seems kinda low-poly and amateurish from a first glance.
Did CBS not want to pay for more than one starship model? A zillion copies of the same thing looks pretty goofy.
Holy shit are they ugly! That looks like my 10-year-old-self trying to draw a 'kewl'-looking Enterprise E In all seriousness though - that is not a good design. I don't mind that much, because the ships in PIC haven't taken center stage at all (not even the Sirena). But All Access-Trek is really hit-and-miss with all their designs (I think the Shenzhou is one of Trek's greatest designs - but I have yet to like any other starship from the current production era).
WHY all the same design?! The ships didn’t have any weight fo them as well. No sense of scale or presence...just felt like a mess to me.
I suppose it was only a matter of time. Gaming is big business. I didn't take it seriously as tie-in. And now it's killed canon ship design.
Did the bridge of Riker's ship look like a redress of the Discovery-era Enterprise bridge to anybody else?
I don't mind if there's only two ship types there. It never made sense to me that Starfleet would have 20-25 different types of ships running around, and if you were in a combat situation certainly all the ships going to that situation should be your front line jobs. I just wish they would've differentiated more between the two types. It looks more or less like the same model with two different kinds of nacelles tacked on. If you look closer there are some smaller differences but it's still offputting.
It’s nice that we finally got a Fed ship but the design was rather boring. Also coping the ship hundreds of times seemed rather lazy.
And holy crap, do the ships look like a modified Voyager design with fixed forward swept pylons and more ablative armor and lots of lights / windows around the edges for some reason.
You may, but consider how it annoys other people. I'm not telling you that you must like the show, but if you show up to a party and do nothing but sit around and complain about how awful the party is, you shouldn't be surprised when somebody gets tired of hearing it.
