Having completed catching up on the recent novels, as promised: a new update. Revised for your reading order needs 8of5 is an amazing collaborator and deserves most of the credit for this. https://www.thetrekcollective.com/p/trek-lit-reading-order.html
Thrawn downplays his fantastically detailed insights and recall! Such as the delightful suggestion of a 20th century section to collect up the bundle of books that explore that era. Durp, corrected now!
Is there a reason Pathways isn't paired with Mosaic in the Voyager backstory box? Was it just referenced less by subsequent novels?
Perhaps because much of it was contradicted by the show itself once Jeri Taylor was no longer showrunner.
I actually messaged and asked Kirsten directly; this was back before she got the Discovery gig and stopped posting here. She said she used Mosaic in her characterization of Janeway but she didn’t use Pathways. She suggested the disparity.
The chart, along with the bullet points below it, are a great resource for those just getting their feet wet with Star Trek books. Fantastic job!
It's nice to get an update. This and @Ryan12340's site are main resources for trying to figure out what order to read things in, and for putting together Memory Omega pages.
Um... but... it isn't though? https://www.amazon.com/Titan-Fortune-War-Star-Trek-ebook/dp/B06ZZ1YDYY/ Also: http://davidmack.pro/writing-type/books/ (This is a weird post to make...)
I think David Mack is pointing out that on the chart it says Fortunes and not Fortune. The chart has the error.
