It's kind of funny that we have a two-parter coming up as the whole thing has felt like one big 13-part story. The first three episodes should've been a three-parter at the very least.
You know, with so many ancient super races in the Milky Way I wouldn’t ordinarily mind one of them being revisited, but Picard has used way more than its share of call-back chits. I’m going to over rule it. T’Kon reference bad.

That's exactly how I feel. If it was just one or two callbacks, but Picard is filled to the brim with them as it is. It makes everything feel smaller and smaller despite their universe-ending stakes.
Actually I don't think they did, not even close, otherwise they would have destroyed our Star instead of creating a weapon and targeting the Earth. The Sphere Builders from ENT had the technology to do this(more likely than not)but since they didn't take over the Milky Way Galaxy 200,000 years ago but waited until 2153 and 2154 to make their attempt I'm guessing that rules them out as a logical species to bring back.
Not if it doesn't really matter. They are gone, who really cares who they were. If Trekkies collectively guessed right that it was Tkon, then good for us, but not much of a spoiler. Who the Big Bad is, that is the question.Plus, I really doubt he would be so blythe as to give away a major plot point like that before the last two shows air.
Even if it is TKon as I have been saying for a while the big bad may not be 0 like in the books. Not if it doesn't really matter. They are gone, who really cares who they were. Im starting to get the impression that Chabon is just pandering to the fans now (i.e. “Yes, they were!” = “Sure, why the hell not!”
Anybody else remember the Chodak from A Final Unity? What about them?
Chabon already confirmed that it were the Tkon who built the admonition.

Impossible, these people have never seen Star Trek.Very true. I am impressed, however, that Chabon and his crew know about the T’Kon, Medusan navigational prowess, glommers and other obscure Trek lore. They actually seem to be aware of a large amount of canonical esoterica that I don’t think we’ve seen since Manny Coto briefly took over Enterprise.
It is...refreshing.
They also hate Trek!Impossible, these people have never seen Star Trek.
