Nobody's mentioned how Clancy told Picard to STFU--am I the only one who loved that?
...
She's even more straight-forward about her dislike toward Picard than Nechayev

I like how all the Borg stuff is a misdirect. They are completely irrelevant to the main story. They’re just there to throw people off and to get people to watch the show.
Many of you. Not me, goddamn it. I didn't buy it for a second. And I CERTAINLY didn't buy that Control theory bullshit.Everyone was expecting that there'll be a surprised Borg invasion, Seven becoming the new Borg Queen, etc. But you're absolutely right. Many of us are duped.
A civilization that can create a star system out of 8 different suns sounds incredible scary. They must be super powerful. How do you fight that?
She could actually get away with not telling them that part directly, the others could then work it out from the rest of what she says.So how was it revealed that Agnes murdered Maddox?
No! I never got the hate the fandom threw at her anyway..Nobody's mentioned how Clancy told Picard to STFU--am I the only one who loved that?![]()
Yes, I think that is part of what bothered me about Nepenthe, too. Even though I liked many of these scenes and the TLC Picard got and Kestra and so on.It seems like Picard's going out of his way to be extra-sensitive to Soji since last week.
Picard and Soji's discussion of Data was touching; it's particularly interesting how Picard likened Data's lack of emotion to himself. (And will there be nerdrage for his not taking the emotion chip into account?) Anyway--and I'm probably going to get pelted with rocks and garbage for this--that one scene did more for me than the entire Riker/Troi reunion last week. I hadn't been able to put my finger on why I wasn't getting as much out of "Nepenthe" as so many others seemed to, and now I'd say that it was taking a nice idea and overindulging in it. Less is more..
"The future is left for us to write." Now that's the old Picard--saying exactly what some here were saying Picard would say if Oh had shown him what she showed Jurati..
Yes. And maybe they are saving Riker for next season. Or maybe they will both show up.So many have speculated about a Starfleet vessel coming to their rescue in the finale...a Borg Cube would be a nice twist..
I definitely don't get the impression that they'll be going there.I really hope they won't reveal her to be in on the conspiracy; I never got that impression from her.
And earlier someone called her ‘Colonel’Rizzo did call her main guy Centurion though.
That was a really nice touch.
Heh so that is what Chabon meant on Instagram last week, “Would it surprise you if she were both?”Oh being a half Vulcan-half Romulan works for me.
I don’t think it’s a sovereign. Or if it is, it’s a refit design, but there are a few differences.Interesting to know that Rios former ship was a Sovereign class,
It happened last episode. It was also shown in the previously on.Raffi said that she was surveilling the Cube, indicating that she could see what the xBs were drawing...when/how did this happen?
This episode reinforces my expectation that whatever happens in the finale will be setting up an ongoing quest for the series. Ancient empire that can move suns? Sounds very big, very sci fi, very Star Trek...and could play into Picard's interest in archaeology to boot. They might be going for something like "The Search" should have been if they hadn't crammed it into a normal 45-minute episode.
It screams Sovereign to me, it would definitely have to be a refit though.I don’t think it’s a sovereign. Or if it is, it’s a refit design.

It sounds impressive. On the other hand, we've previously had the TKon Empire; who piloted entire star systems, and they mostly all died out when their sun went supernova.
If as suspected they don't make it to the Starbase its highly likely that a fleet will be sent to find them.So I wonder if that squadron Clancy had is going to show up in the final episode some how. Like the La Sirena can’t take on all those ships. Either that or the Borg Cube lmao
