I wouldn't underestimate Rios...I'll bet he's the one who figures Jurati out. And neither he nor the show would want to play their hand prematurely.
It'll no doubt be just in the nick of time as she's about to get her hands on Soji.
I thought the Picard/Hugh stuff was REALLY good, I didn’t like the Jurati/Rios stuff and found it forced. Definitely better than last weeks episode.
4 episodes left, it’s going a bit fast now.
Agreed - I think Jurati was hitting on Rios purely to manipulate him later on in order to aid her mission to kill Soji and prevent the Zhat Vash vision she was shown by Commander Oh from coming true.I really don't think the whole Jurati killing Not!Maddox thing is over and done with. It's Chekhov's Murder. Just wait and see.
Rafi’s issues seem like they’d be more at home in a different show so far. Like they don’t relate much to the main narrative and make her seem like an anchor on the mission. I hope she finds new purpose by end of season.
I was thinking they should end it with Giunan coming in and saying that this isn’t right. Like Yesterday’s Enterprise. If PIC doesn't end with JL running out into the E-D corridor and asking Worf and Troi what the date is, then--and only then--will I admit it's not real Star Trek.
I'm betting on reclaimed Borg parts ... from Manu Intiraymi! I mean Icheb! It screws my theory that Soji was made using Lore’s positronic neurones.

Totally disagree here. Note how she unnecessarily goes into graphic details about Picard's assimilation right in front of him to get him to throw a fit. That and the business with Rios screams coordinated psychological misdirection to me.And, personally, I don't think Jurati is some cold-blooded Mata Hari type who cunningly set out to seduce Rios to throw him off the scent. I'm willing to take her liaison with Rios at face value--she was just looking for some comfort and solace in the arms of a raffishly attractive space captain--even if Rios has no idea of just how deep her troubles go.
