So Spiner said he was in multiple episodes. And there was that Dorn signature that CBS hastily stated wasn't a sign of Worf's appearance.

We may still have a few surprises left in the show.
It would make sense that some cameo's or guest star appearances would be kept a secret.

If we see the Enterprise E Worf will probably be the Captain, I would like the Enterprise F but its very unlikely.

No doubt we will see Spiner again, exactly who he will be playing remains to be seen though.

Same goes for Seven as we saw her give Picard a way to contact her.

They gave us Icheb even though it wasn't for long so anyone is an option at this point.

And considering that the cube was established to be in Romulan hands for 16 years (that many days since assimilation sign), well before the supernova, the deus ex machina opens up more plotholes on why the Romulans didn't use that spiffy teleportation tech to evacuate their planet. Or if Hugh and other Borgs knew about it and hid it from the Romulans, they doomed Romulus. Maybe Hugh and Picard's next meeting won't be as cozy...

The technology cannot casually be duplicated, in the VOY episode they face serious obstacles. Firstly it only works within the orbit of Sikaris because of its unique mantle. While the Borg obviously had solved this problem, it is unlikely that the romulans could casually make operational portals anywhere as well, at least it would take a while to figure out.
Secondly, Torres describes the trajector as incompatible with federation (and presumably romulan) tech, they almost trigger a warp core breach in the attempt to use it.
Furthermore, I got the impression that only few people can enter at once, probably a very energy-intensive device, so they would only have that one portal which would barely make a difference for the evacuation efforts.

It's been confirmed in the tie-in book that Worf took over as captain of the Enterprise after Picard was made an admiral. Meaning the most logical thing to conclude is the Enterprise shows up with Captain Worf.

Michael Dorn finally gets his dream! At least as a cameo.

(Thankfully) Not canon. He should still be an ambassador.

So if Spiner is coming back for another episode... Why are we assuming it's as Data?

Lore: Soji, now fulfill your destiny as the destroyer and take your place at my side!
Soji: Yes Master.
We never really covered how Lore would have responded to Data's death, would he have tried to merge Data's backup with himself, he is pretty much the only one who could have succeeded at the time.

That is assuming he was reactivated of course.

The weird comment that Maddox made on his deathbed about Soong makes me wonder if he didn't actually die in Brothers. Or maybe he has a holomatrix sitting around somewhere.

Agnes (pointing a phaser at Soji): Prepare to die abomination!

Picard: How could you do this to Data's daughter?

Agnes: You old fool! What ever made you think she was Data's daughter? There was nothing left of Data after the Battle of the Bassen Rift!

Picard: But if she's not Data's daughter, then she must be descended from...

Lore (steps out of shadows): Me.

Picard: Lore!

It did make me wonder at the time but it could have just meant working with Soongs original work.

As I said a little earlier, we don't know who Spiner will be playing.

The Romulan Free State isn't going to take kindly to all its dead officers on the Borg Cube. I hope Hugh and the XBs can get out of there if they need to.

Worf becoming an ambassador was enough of a throwaway that I don't care. Amused, yes. Angered, no. It's not enough of a detail that I think anything is "broken." Now, if they invent a spouse in the time Worf was married to Jadzia ...

Its reasonable to conclude that Worf could have taken a wife when he became Ambassador and not mentioned it.

There is no evidence that Martok has any children so it may be up to Worf.

Martok has at least one son. When Worf first appeared in "THE WAY OF THE WARRIOR", he fought his son and took his knife in an effort to fet Martok's attention. It succeeded because he asked for it back.

(Yes, it was Changeling Martok at the time, but it clearly was Martok's son because he was an adult and the wormhole was discovered only 3 years earlier.)

Yeah, there's going to be some reason why it couldn' thave been helpful.

Really, there are only two possibilities. One is the device never comes up again, either in the show or in interviews with the creative staff. The other is that it does come up again and they make up some technobabble reason why it couldn't have been used for the evacuation.

As I said a little earlier, we don't know who Spiner will be playing.

On one hand, maybe Soong is alive, on the other, imagine Spiner in Drag, if Data and Lore had an identical sister?

Also are we all thinking of Rizzo from Grease every time they say "Rizzo" here on Star Trek.

God, I really hope not for a few reasons. First, after 274 appearances*, the last thing I think we need is more Worf.

Second, why in God's name would hestill be Captain of the Enterprise fifteen years later?

Well, in-universe "Encounter At Farpoint" and "Nemesis" are 15 years apart. Like DS9 and VOY modeling their 7 seasons after TNG, maybe Captain Worf is just copying the term of his predecessor. :bolian:

(Thankfully) Not canon. He should still be an ambassador.

"Nemesis" already ruined that ambassador ending for us. It's interesting...

...for me, of all the things I hate about "Nemesis", the single thing I may hate the most is how casually and pointlessly it ruins Worf's wrap-up on DS9. I thought him becoming the Federation Ambassador to Qo'Nos was such a deeply satisfying arc closure. I just loved it. After all his conflicted push-pull with the Feds and the Klingons over the years, Worf finally got to go home and live among other Klingons, but also keep his connections to both worlds. To me, it was a PERFECT resolution of the Worf story, I couldn't imagine a better ending for him.

And then Nemesis blows it to hell, for no apparent reason other than... storytelling laziness? The movie begins with the damn wedding, just say Ambassador Worf has traveled to attend that, and then he's on the ship and the rest of the movie can unfold in the same exact way! All it would have taken is one line and a different costume for Worf.

Truly, it pisses me off more than Data's death, and everything else wrong with that movie. I would be thrilled if "Picard" can unfuck that and give us a better final appearance of Worf.

Loved this weeks "Picard" episode! Possibly my favorite so far.
