I would've been far more cruel to the horrible women who did that to Icheb.
I would've dissected her to make her suffer the same fate he did and torture her, revive her, then repeatedly torture her till she can revive no more.

But I'm a far more vengeful person that gets revenge for my loved ones.

Well it's also important to remember that when Icheb was killed..in reality 7 was still quite new to being able to experience the broad, intense scope of human emotions. For her entire life she was either a drone or still had Borg technology that was inhibiting her emotions and in a sense artificially keeping her mental health under wraps. That was removed towards the end of Season 7 of Voyager when she started her quasi-romance with ol' ink face.

Just checked the uk Amazon Prime and the episode is a 12 like all the others. While it was gory it wasn’t overly so.

Her "Maternal" emotions are definitely intact, along with her sense of vengeance and rage.

In the case of Ben Sisko, that was specifically at the request of Avery Brooks.

That's not true. Indeed, Brooks interviewed Chase Masterson for the part of Jake's dabogirl-girlfriend. Even though he picked another actress for the part, he recommended Masterson as a possible love interest for his character.

Icheb didn't HAVE a cortical node to give (he gave it to Seven in "Imperfection").

The tech insisted on digging for treasure regardless. :(

Did Seven at least have the phasers set to stun when she ambushed the two bodyguards and then went on the absurd dual rifle spree against the worst security guards in the galaxy? That'd be something at least.

What if it was YOUR kid? Would you want the person who tortured your kid walking the streets?

Holy shit. This episode was a lot to take in. First: New Icheb (Good choice knowing what we know about the original). Second: New Icheb dies horribly. HORRIBLY. Yikes.

Freecloud is Blade Runner 2049-land.

Voyager brought Seven and Icheb all that way for this? A crapsack world and shitty, miserable lives as hated and hunted XB's? Yikes.

Quark namedrop!

What did they show whats-her-name that was so bad she'd kill Maddox??

Picard was an old man off his meds when negotiating in that Bond villain accent.

Picard got annoyingly preachy for the first time. I love that Seven got her revenge in the end, and her little speech about letting Picard keep his hope was cute.

Also: Renegades is no longer in continuity due to conflicting Ichebs. It's all over, people:lol:

Just starting it now so not reading other posts yet.

Not a fan of the decision to kill a great character in between shows just to establish evilness and motivate Seven. Should have learned from Alien 3.

And I don't believe this is the first time this has happened. Wasn't there a voyager episode with someone wanting to buy/sell implants?
maybe. it was Voyager, though, so I can't remember. Was the problem solved by reversing the polarity of the deflector dish, a nebula and Janeway's caffeine addiction?
