Sounds like Quark left DS9, surprising. I thought he didn't like the way his brother was running Ferenginar, why did he go back?

I find it hard to believe that Rios, who personally watched his captain get ripped apart, and has all sorts of possibly shady characters aboard his ship, wouldn't have cameras recording everything that goes on, including Agnes killing Maddox.

I thoroughly enjoyed the new phaser disintegration effect ;)

Quark: "Rom, I need help. Some Breen have a major issue with me and I need the help of the Grand Nagus."
Rom: "Sorry, Brother. The office of the Grand Nagus can no longer directly intervene in the personal financial affairs of a family member, not since the reforms of 2376. You know that. I even told you!"
Quark: "Rom...you're my brother. And these Breen mean business. I NEED YOUR HELP."
Rom: "I'm sorry, Brother. I can always ask Moogie if she knows someone...an Eliminator, maybe. She knows people."
Quark: "Never mind. I'll do it myself."
Rom: "Leeta says 'Hi!' "
Quark: "My life is complete."

Disheartening was the implication only Seven bothered to rescue Icheb. They could at least have namedropped Paris or someone or a reassurance to Icheb that the Doctor would heal his injuries or something.

And that opening was way too violent. I'm missing Discovery now actually. Ironically that's starting to feel more like Trek (despite the many complaints about the show online). That show added to the characters of Pike, Spock and Number One. Picard feels like it's undermining Seven and Picard himself. It's like Seven lost even more of her humanity becoming a vengeful vigilante, undoing her growth on Voyager.

Also, the Icheb scene was too quick to notice the recast really, but I'm pretty sure that Maddox wasn't Brian Brophy. Why did they recast him?

The desire for revenge is very human. It's certainly not very borg.

I do have to acknowledge that the computer voice in the new series is a close approximation of Majel Barrett's but just different enough to make it unique. I can buy that this is how Starfleet-issue LCARS vocal interfaces sound since we last heard Majel's voice in NEM.

Because "Planet forgotten" sounds stupid XD

I don't think that's Locutus. He doesn't look like Stewart.

Looks like him to me.
Pretty much the same BORG outfit.
And it seems to be another flashback.

Since it happened almost twenty years before PICARD
I suppose it could be either a stand-in for Stewart or CGI.

Great, so now where in TNG's "Descent Part 2" territory where any emotion, no matter how violent, is better than no emotion. Did Lore write the script?

If you're not going to rewire human beings, that million years of savagery is something that might still have to be faced from time to time.
