Perhaps it's either Rios or Maddox ... (it is a Guy and he does have a beard)
Dr. Jurati may know Chris Rios from her past?
Or with that smile on her face, it may be they find Maddox and she's really glad to see him??

Man I am loving this show so far and even signed up for CBS all access, which I never thought I would do.

I wonder how much PICARD is increasing the CBS ALL ACCESS memberships?

More likely, surely, that they have never met before joining Picard's mission, but then get cosy during the course of the season. It is definitely Rios though.

I am new here, but a huge star trek fan. I just thorght I would ask this, I can not get my head around the Data story line. After the events of nemesis and the transference of data's memorys into b-4 was data not surposed to take comand of the enterprise -E ? I am sure there was a book about it called countdown. Could any shed any light on this ?

Essentially, The Producers are taking bits and pieces of the TREK: 2009 movie "Countdown Comics" and adding it to the PICARD story-line.

Adjusting what They actually do use, to fit Their needs for this show.
Since we've only seen just the first episode of PICARD so far, we don't really know exactly how much They are going to use or how They are going to tailor it to Their needs.

star trek 09 revived the franchise and disco cemented the Resurrection so no picard did not revive it single handedly

CBS would not have thrown in so much money if DSC had not demonstrated viability.

That whole article is very demeaning to fans of both franchises.

A bit, but it gets to heart of what Picard is doing. To quote the last paragraph: "[W]ith Picard, Star Trek for now has the upper hand. It wins this round by remembering that geeks cannot live on nostalgia alone and that even the most beloved sci-fi heroes need to keep moving forward. That is a lesson Disney, as custodian of Star Wars, has neglected to its cost." End quote.

As a Star Trek fan, not a Star Wars fan (nothing against it, I'm just part of the "casual movie-going audience" when it comes to those films), I get a kick out of reviewers and film snobs giving the nod to Star Trek instead of Star Wars. Usually it's the other way around.

But I will say what he says about Star Wars is unfair. The Skywalker family line is moving forward. Through Rey.
