News Brent Spiner Returned for "Picard" (and you could do the CGI better in 15 minutes, we get it)

I want to know why I can slim his face more, for no money, but CBS can't with money

Why'd they futz with Data's hairline at all in the trailer? It seems like the wig they gave Spiner was good enough.

My gut feeling is that hairline is too high. Speaking as someone watching his fade from Season One Tom Paris into Season One Jean Lic Picard, it can be hard to guess where that line must be drawn. It falls back.

Yeah I think it looked a wee bit too high, you'd think with as many refrence photos there are out there, they could have got it right, a hairpiece is the very thing they should be able to get accurate in camera that shouldn't need touched up

A little bit too thin. But they could have done it. The technology is there.

You think this is a wig? I think they just dyed his real hair (maybe in combination with a hairpiece in front, but I'm not sure).

I thought it looked good. The FC uniform was a miss (it looks like a fan replica) but the TNG one looked flawless. As for his features, hey, the guy got older. That's life. He still looked like Data and his voice cadence was perfect.
I assumed all three uniforms were originals from TNG? Patrick Stewart talked about having to get his costume flown to California from his home.

Spiner isn't totally bald, but his hairline is a lot higher and his hair now a lot thinner than in that pic.

Yes, but when you dye the hair and add some microfibers you can make it look much fuller. But it could also be a hairpiece. Would like to see some behind the scenes material about that.

He said that at Comic Con. But that was about a scene they shot in late July, not about the pilot (which was already in camera at that time).

It could have been a scene shot later. Reshoots are not uncommon! He specifically said he didn't wear a uniform until that scene.

I liked the dream scenes with Picard and Data that they were mysterious and Intriguing. I liked Dahj she was an interesting character.I'm curious about Soji and finding more about her backstory in future episodes of season 1.

Interesting. But the uniform looks strange. The black shoulder section is too large. Data's version looks better (although they widened the collar).

I still don't know why Picard wore a uniform in the vineyard scene but not in the poker scene (would have made much more sense).
