Hello Dear Trekkies!

Hi, ya Bill.

Too bad your Fan Club Fest won’t be in August since I’ll be in Europe at that time. I would definitely stop by.

Peace and Live Long and Prosper!

So here are my basic questions let me set them up:

I am traveling to Europe in March to do a series of screenings of the Wrath of Khan.
On Saturday March 14 I am trying to hold a Fan Club event in Amsterdam late morning/early afternoon and then there will be the evening screening.
The event consists of
  • a Meet and Greet,
  • a Q&A
  • a one on one photo
  • a group photo
  • and lunch.

It will be held at a hotel in Amsterdam. In addition you can purchase autographs for a price of 65 Euros per autograph.

For years I've been hearing Europeans complain I never do anything in Europe other than conventions which by their own nature are impersonal and systematic queuing for everything.

So given that the city and date cannot be changed...My questions to you are:

Is this something of interest?
What is the price you would pay for the event?
Let's have a discussion here in this thread about that.

My best, Bill

It sounds interesting. Let my do some cyber-research on airfare and lodging.

This is indeed legit.

Pretty much, Mr. Shatner is looking for feedback on how to improve attendance at his new Fan Club meet-and-greets, which were formerly held in L.A. and NYC (if memory serves).

He has one planned for Amsterdam soon, and wanted to know things such as how it should be priced, etc.

Pretty much that will be the focus when he returns.

Note that these meet-and-greets are only for his fan club members. The good news is that his fan club is totally free (I'm a member). Of course the event won't be, but you have to join the club if you plan on attending one of the events.

I expect that those posting when he returns will behave themselves. You don't want to feel the Romulan boot on your backside. ;)

P.S. I hope he does more of these in areas OTHER than L.A. and N.Y.C.

Hey, Bill.
Do you have an approximate number of seats that will be available for the venue? I’m just postulating that a smaller room/building would limit the tickets available and thus raise the yet unknown price per person.

Maybe we get a discount for being hard core Trekkers. ;)
I am ready to pay $400 for the event in LA this year. Since it includes two pictures, I feel it is worth every penny. I have attended in the past and had a great time. I have my autographed one on one picture up in my living room.

That seems like a reasonable price for the awesome experience it will provide.

(This is Tina, btw... mod on the WSFC forum)
Hi, Tina! It’s Bailey. I hope there are plenty of people here who are able to attend the European fan club event. It should be a great experience. Mr. Shatner doesn’t disappoint.
