Spoilers New "blue skies" trailer!

Looks absolutely beautiful!

No doubt just part of a flash-back/dream sequence.
Those still delusional they'll focus on this ship, are the same fans who still think the show is going to be about Riker, Deanna and just about bringing the old crew back.
It's not.
You can't help these fans, they are stuck in one gear.

Although to be fair, they've kind of sold and promoted this show heavy on the nostalgia factor, and focused next to nothing in promoting the new crew.
So when the show does turn to actually focus on these new characters, they've been set up to be automatically resented for it.
This new cast is going to have a next to impossible task of being accepted, as they'll just be seen as in the way of the old cast. .
Eh? The new characters have gotten a lot lore coverage

She is so purrty. Damned if she isn’t the best Enterprise with a suffix after it’s registry.

OMG!!!! Squeeeeee!! This just increased my excitement for the show by orders of magnitude!

People have noticed that the ship is a bit different to that of the Enterprise D with a different colour scheme and shorter neck so it’s possible it’s a different ship.

Oh, FFS. Who cares! This is what Trek BBS sounds like when a CBS version of an older ship appears:

PICARD: It's the same [ship]. Nothing has changed.
GUINAN: I know that. I also know it's wrong.

But that’s the fun of Star Trek. People actually care about these small things. It’s why they publish technical manuals and schematics.

I think it's Isa Briones.

In Picard's dreams,
Data is also giving clues about Dahj's origins in form of a game card, painting, etc, which indicates that he has a close connection with Dahj.

If so, then the theory that
Data is reborn/his memory is now implanted inside Dahj's body is confirmed ;);)
I do not know who is confirming this but might want to double check because it is wrong.
The game happens before Picard meets her and it's HIS dream so no......4 more days. Just relax.

Very strong light source just off camera.........not really THAT shiney.......

I don't know. Consider how the Enterprise looked in Generations when it was at the Amargosa observatory, the hull wasn't shiny at all. In fact Federation hulls in general never seemed to 'shine' when near strong sources of light. Another example would be Voyager when it does it's close flyby of a star in the opening credits.

The Hull of the Enterprise in the picard clip looks metallic and almost like its a gunmetal or battleship grey. If anything it looks similar to the hull plating of Discovery.

Oh look, a DISCO-style beauty shot where we need to dial up the brightness if we wish to see anything.

This said, the one here doesn't look half bad, I'm just a little tired of everything being underlit in Discovery. Cheaper CGI, I suppose.

I like those beaming portals, or what ever they are.

I think it’s them trying to make it look more realistic since space is dark and all that.
If they’re going to do that they also need to have no sound since sound can’t travel in a vacuum.

Nah, I don't buy that. When the D7s finally show up in Discovery, you can barely get a look at them. It's not just the lighting, it's the angles too, and they're absolutely terrible. It's like they intentionally wanted to show as little as possible.

TNG had the Enterprise intentionally underlit a bunch of times, and it still looked great.

Are you seriously complaining about this shot of the D? She looks better than she ever has, FFS.
